hm, when I was in MC Donalds / China I'd say the quality of the chicken burger was much worse than anticipated from european experiences.
I guess the set of "edible parts of the chicken" is about a magnitude of Alpeh0 larger than in europe/usa....

The pictures reminded me of an article in a magazine I recently read: The recipies of Werner Fischer, who was a renown cook in the 60s in Germany. Among the highlights were Iguana Soup, Hedgehog, Bear feet and "Robbe im Teigmantel" kind of Baby Seal covered in dough. The images had the same ghastly color. Unfortunately, I can not find any of those on the interwebs, will have to purchase one of his cookbooks and scan them.

I love cream of mushroom soup, as well...and it works so well for making sauces,
etc.
Is it evil? I'll have to go get me some. Or just make some, I can't stand
store bought soups. Other than mushrooms, what's actually IN them?
