It is predicted that Asteroid Apophis will strike Earth! This is exciting but very disappointing, it won't happen until 2068 and I will be long gone by then. 

Good.  Nothing wrong with a good extinction every few million years is what I always say.  I am hoping it hits Yellowstone National Park directly for maximum total destruction.

Astrophysicists are saying it is too early to tell, others are saying it will be close.

Living in a post apocalyptic wasteland would be terrible misery for almost everyone.

Here is another truth revealed by this: 

There *ARE* too many of us. The Left is already making arguments that Covid is racist - that it affects brown people more severely than white people. This is true, too. 


And that is because of r/k selection - as unpopular as that theory is with its "eugenics" type feel. 

The most populous portions of global society are the POOREST populations. They're overwhelmingly brown. That is why they're the most populous. They breed in larger numbers to overcome the challenges of a sustainable population faced by those who are resource starved. 

(Things we all know, that are evident, but normal people act like they don't realize.) 

Bringing poor brown people up to the economic security of wealthier white people wouldn't help. We're simply trying to game the system to beat one of its checks and balances - in this case, against a species over-populating. 

Democrats know this, by the way - and it is part of the reason they are so *strongly* pro-Abortion. 

Nature is trying to thin our herd - and it is looking for the heaviest concentration of the herd - the lowest hanging fruit, to achieve that goal. 

Just like it works in the rest of nature.

My wife takes dryer lint, jams it into a used toilet paper tube, and drips the remains of candle wax onto each end, saturating the lint as far as possible. 

They make awesome campfire starters, and smell like a pleasant combination of fabric softener, scented toilet paper, and luxury candle.

Cool. I use dryer lint by itself as tinder for starting fires in my burn barrel. P-jelly would probably be even more fun to play around with. Of course, if you have a blowtorch handy, it might not be necessary :)

I dont know why for sure, but it does. It also damages the floor if you charge it on the floor.. ( too lazy to a piece of wood out once, stained the floor for a couple off years )

I suspect it has to do with induced eddy currents due to water in the concrete and steel screen under it

I also want to know why car batteries die when you store them on a concrete floor.

Snopes says that this is not true, therefore it is true. Also, I had a fairly new and fully charged battery go completely flat after just a few days on the floor of my garage.
