i know i have said it before but it still amazes me.

At dog social, they will tend to herd the rest of the owners together, then all come hang out near me...    Like i'm sort of shepherd or something,  and when owners start to separate off they go again to collect them.

Purger get sideways again? couple of rooms lit up with new items.. but they weren't.

I moved some threads around.

So im sure everyone has heard OpenAI booted out that jerk Altman by now.    ( that is the risk you take when you are a jerk and go IPO... lol )   But now i hear his childish partner is having a tantrum and is saying he will leave too if the board does not fire themselves.

I dont think either of them understand how a corporation works.  I hope the board are experienced members, and wave as he packs his stuff, instead of caving.

Unless he signed some sort of contract with MS that includes penalties, his huge jerk-face ego may bring him back.  ( ya, slow day at office so im 'on it' for comments :) )

About 500 of them threatened to leave unless he was brought back. But it's moot now because M$ hired him.

Ya. tho there are rumors out that they were struggling to keep up with competition anyway, and if they didnt do something special really fast, the handwriting was on the wall ( one reason hes been on board limiting access and regulations .. stamp out startups and OSS )

But with him gone, his buddy threatening to leave, and as IG said most of their staff too.  Its over.

I am not following closely, but I have heard the company's value has crashed in the stock exchange.

Hmm couple of hours ago, according to BBC, he's flipping Microsoft the bird and going back to OpenAI to run it again.  Board caved or something. Idiots.

Seems like the circus has just begun. I predict their eventual downfall over this.

So car bomb in NY.. I assume our host is ok and was nowhere near the mess?

Personally i suspect this was a premature rapid oxidation event.  Blowing up that is pretty lame in the bigger picture, and i wonder if it went off early, either by accident or they panicked at the border and pushed the button 

Now they are saying no car bomb.  "Just a car crash"..  but still strange.    And how can they say 'clearly not terrorism' if they dont know the motive? Trying to run people down can be terrorism too. Does not have to be a bomb.

Or it could just be a terrible accident of course, but unless they know facts, they cant make judgments.
