Flooded with "Ukraine Beauties" last few days.

Most of them are 'Halloween treat" and "Halloween Queen". Do they celebrate Halloween in the spring there? Seems odd . The only reason i even noticed, it said Halloween..  thinking wtf is this  ( or perhaps that was their intent, and it worked, sort of, as i did notice, but of course not taking the bait )

New technique in scams. ( friend noticed it today )

They have the typical legit looking email, with a legit looking link ( text ). Hover over the link to see where it really goes, its hidden.     Using the hide html tag to hide the real link..   

Dear Mr. Orazio:

Please be served with this notice that I have forwarded your email to an entire community of readers.

It is 20:42 here in US/Eastern time zone.  Your "trojan" will no doubt discover that I have read your email and shared it.

Do your worst.  We're all waiting with a big bowl of popcorn in hand.

Gosh, it's been a couple of weeks, and my family and friends and coworkers haven't received a split screen video of me watching pr0n.  Is there something wrong, Mr. Orazio?  Did you lose the video?  Are you having trouble getting back onto my computer?  Is there a particular pr0n site you need me to visit?  You're really leaving me disappointed, Mr. Orazio.

Eventually they'll simply make deepfakes of such a video instead of shotgun-blasting idle threats out to random people. We are at a weird point in history where everything is fake but not everyone knows that everything is fake.

"I am a professional hacker and I was able to hack your computer's operating system and see your history, bla bla and i'm impressed"  "now pay up"

Impressed that my activity is about as boring as vanilla ice cream? LoL. 

The first known spam email sent was in 1978. Gary Thuerk, a marketing manager, sent approximately 400 people an email advertising his company’s new computer model. His spam efforts reportedly earned the company $13 million in sales.

In 1978, there were not a lot of options.

I suspect they were all current customers. He worked for Digital Equipment. If your entire business was on a vax, where else could you go, realistically?

Which of those 400 people didn't immediately delete the ad and boycott his business? Those are the people who should have been identified at the time and never allowed on the internet again.

Local police a couple of counties over:

"Bla bla people are calling around claiming to be us. bla bla  get money out of bank and where to drop the bag off. several have been scammed out of thousands in the last few minutes "

How the hell could anyone fall for that? 

Heard that the EU forced FB into offering no-ad subscriptions.  Didn't see that offered here in the US.  Might be but its not being marketed ..
