I actually saw another IGnatius T Foobar once. When I asked the site operator about it he told me he thought that it was a generic name for fake posting.
I was once kicked off a Discord called "Shitpost Central" ... for shitposting.

if you have a career. If I got kicked off the site, I'd have an excuse
to not be there.
I don't know, I didn't have much of a career while I was there and I haven't much of a career now I am out. I don't notice much of a difference.
My experience is that, when I conceede and create an account with a shit service in order to get something, I fail to get that something and I still pay the price of making the account. Absolutely not worth it.

You need some sort of public presence for lots of jobs, sadly.
If you are selling books or board games you need to be out there. The good news is you don't have to be online. You can just attend real events in meatspace, which IMO is much more effective.
Just get a job with a secret government entity. No public facing anything is need then. In fact its discouraged.
I had a cousin that worked for a 3 letter US agency at one point. We still had family xmas parties back then. She would call in 1/2 way thru: "hey everyone, cant tell you where i'm at or what im doing, but i'm alive, and happy holidays. Gotta go *click*"

I suppose it's good if things really are getting better. I'm still mad at Facebook for wal-marting all the users away from the BBS scene, though. That's something they can never give back.
Even if its 'better' it will still not be 'right' and its only temporary anyway. He's afraid of Trump and Musk and what they could do to his empire. Once they are gone, he will be back to his old tricks. He also should be afraid of lying in congress recently. And out of fairness, i don't think he can have Meta become a 'free speech' zone even if he truly wanted to, and still operate in the EU.
Also, while i do agree FB ( and others ) hurt the BBS world severely, did we really want 99% of those idiots around anyway?
