Relax, there will be no tattoos.  Facial recognition cameras have eliminated the need for the tattoos.  I hope everyone is tagging everyone in the photos they upload to social media!  Every bit helps.

The local casino requires masks, but you have to take off your masks as you pass by the entrance facial recognition cameras.   The people that play the slot machines don't seem to mind at all.... because they are going to hit it big real soon.

As dumb as it sounds, i always make sure i walk up to a store camera before i put my mask on ( if the store requires it. not all do now, thankfully. stupid face-diaper )

I carry concealed PPE, and if things to sideways for some reason and i have to use it, i want proof was not trying to hide my identity or something..  Sounds minor, but might help in court.

Mask mandate is over here. Some people/merchants are pretty relaxed about it... some are still trying to virtue signal really strongly.

It is here too, except for government buildings, testing sties, etc.     But most stores still have their sign up. *****ers

Of course that will change later this summer when the next wave of something comes and they lock us all down again.  Cant allow that pesky freedom now can we?

#1: VACCINE MAKERS ARE IMMUNE FROM LIABILITY

The only industry in the world that bears no liability for injuries or deaths resulting from their products, are vaccine makers.

Most computer companies too. "not responsible for ...bla bla ...  implied or intended "   Best case you get a refund of your purchase, or a rebate due to contract. But no real liability.

If so, only take one computer virus to bankrupt them all.

Oh, THOSE bottom feeders again...

I got a connection request from someone at the "Foundation" division of my alma mater. She wanted to connect with me to hear about my time at the university and my career path since then, and to tell me about the "mallet percussion center" they've started, presumably since I was in the marching band.

Yeesh.

I told her that I already paid for my degree and that her request for money was really badly veiled.

Talking about our apple accounts with a guy at the office.  Not used it in a decade. Thought Id see if it still worked .  My personal account, i dont remember the name or email or phone, so im outta luck.

Office.. it sent me a text AND an email.  Then i got "since you dont have an apple device you have to wait. We will get back with you tomorow on how long you have to wait" "but if you have an apple device you can reset it now"

I guess i'm being punished for daring to step outside the walled garden.

This is what Hackintosh on a VM is for. ;)

Which they don't like, and that makes it even better - and is probably a huge part of what the move to ARM is really about. Not performance, not enhancing the consumer end-user experience.

Making the walls thicker, taller and stronger around the walled garden.

If i *needed* it i could always load oSX back on my shop laptop, or borrow an iPad or something.

Just amusing how im being treated by the scumbags. I used to be an Apple supporter ( not fanboy level,). until the walls went up around the garden .I bailed before they were completed and there were still holes in the walls.

I never drank any of Job's Apple Juice.

I purchased a 1st gen iPad and really dug it at first - but as soon as decent Android tablets came out - I dumped it.

And I've bought a number of iPods - for a while, they were simply the best option for portable music players - but only after Creative exited with the big, blocky units that were the size of a walkman.

I did get a iphone 3.  But it was really one of the first usable smart phones. I dumped my palm t/x for it. 'real time data... ooooo'

I did not get another. By the time it started having sim card issues, android was usable and i ran away from apple, as fast as i could.

I still remember when an update to the iPhone killed my RBG video cable. "no longer compatible' its a freaking apple cable i got from their store. it was NOT a 3rd party . that was the day i lost any interest in apple as a company.  That update also killed charging for my car player ( 3rd party ).  worked the day before just fine " not compatible " well it was.

a month later, sim card issues..    and android here we come.

Yup. I can't remember specific experiences - but crap like that.

Of course, Verizon, at first, you had to hack and root and do things just to get GPS that was ON the phone and didn't cost them anything for you to access.

Which to me is kind of like Cisco selling you the same switch but making you license the ports in blocks and disabling them otherwise.

"We already made it, our sunk costs are in the device either way, so we're making profit either way - but if you want all the function it is capable of - you have to pay more."

I hate tech companies in this regard. They're greedy bastards.

And as long as people keep buying it, they'll keep doing it.
Think of all the things people are paying monthly for now that they could own forever not too long ago.
