I can almost imagine the drama from your sister should the delayed flight prevent you from attending the wedding.

a guy...
Based on the last guy, I assumed he's gay.
Maybe it will be delayed enough to miss the wedding? Are your parents
flying with you?
Well, we missed the rehearsal. And we ended up traveling by rail from the airport to the city during rush hour.
So far I'm not liking this city. But I'm not really a fan of urban blight to begin with.

That was like three or four fiancees ago. This one's a decent guy. Very likable. But based on his choice of women he's a moron.
The flight home was on time and uneventful. The wedding was fancy but manageable. My sister is tolerable when she is the nonstop center of attention, so she was ok. I'll post the other half of the story in the Food room.
...and this week I'm traveling again, this time back to Allen, TX. While
there I will not be visiting relatives who moved there looking for something
they will not find. I will however be visiting In-N-Out Burger.
How about some Bar B Que....
I've been doing bunches of road trips this summer. Another one coming up Thursday.

Not sure why I didn't think of this at the time, but the appropriate room to talk about my injury and recovery is "Health and Wellness" not here.
I've moved the discussion there.
One would think that Citadrift allows us to talk about almost anything, almost
anywhere we want.. If we can work in the segue well enough.
Chicago for a destination wedding isn't too bad, my niece and her fiancee (father of her two children) were invited to a destination wedding in the Bahamas, the flight is about $800 per person. They decided not to take the children. The hotel and food plan is about the same.
Great time for a wedding in the Bahamas... 30+ft waves, sustained 180MPH winds... What more could you ask for?
Funny thing about that, we're watching hurricane coverage on TV and some of
the commercials are for vacations in Caribbean resorts.
Story of the day...
My mom and dad celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. Last winter, my dad told me that instead of having a party, they wanted to take the whole family (me, my sister, and our spouses and my kids) on a cruise together.
When we started planning things, it was supposed to be right about now. In September.
We postponed the trip; I think it was because my sister just got married.
We're all glad we did now -- between the ultra-hurricanes, my grandmother dying this past week, and me having a broken ankle ... that trip would have been washed out.
