Most of you know I have a tendency to get earworms stuck in my head.

Today, I'm at work in an open-cubicle office with South Park's "Shut your fucking face, Uncle fucker" stuck in my head.

It's very pernicious, and I must try not to sing it aloud while I work.

Why supress it? Go grab it on YouTube and turn the speakers up to 11.

On an unrelated note, I can't get that 'Tell Me More' tune from Grease out of my damned head.

I really, *really* should just traipse around the office here, skipping about, singing this daft tune until the men in the white coats come and usher me to a happier place.

I suppose that's better than you singing "You're the One that I want" dressed up as Olivia Newton John was when she sang the song.

Are you hiring?

Yes, but not in any location where you would have to sit near me.

I assure you, I can create an interesting, unusual, yet competent working environment. At least, if it doesn't involve sales. I suspect I might scare customers.

I wouldn't look right dressed in *anything* Olivia Newton John has worn, I suspect.

I'm savagely enduring a pernicious earworm of the tune 'Brazil'.

Thankfully, it's an amusing version. Part of me imagines if I were a bit player in some comedy, every time the audience is given a clue about what is going on in my head, the camera does a close up of my face and you only hear 'Brazil', as if it were my only thoughts.

My closeup would show a very empty room.

I'm listening to Pandora for the first time in quite a while. It seems to know when you've been away for too long, and plays an incredible mix of your favorites. There ought to be a way to tell it to do that all the time.

I saw a snippet of Porgie and Bess recently, a performance for video rather than a play, and while I always appreciated the music, I think I'd love to watch the play.

I get the sense it's a fairly powerful love story.

A little Avenue Q should fix that...

I suppose by now everyone has heard that after a 41 year run, the members of RUSH have decided to call it a day. All three of them are in their mid 60's so it's about retirement age anyway.

One could probably argue either way about whether they were successful in retiring the band before it jumped the shark. I became a fan in the early 1990's so I'm not part of the crowd that thinks they were already done at that point. But, that very last album (Clockwork Angels) was a sleeper.

Obviously they're doing other things ... mostly writing, which is not surprising.
Neil Peart seems to have a tendonitis problem, which is a bit of a problem for a drummer. I could see Geddy doing some more solo projects, as he seems to be the most energetic to keep going. But they did all appear to agree that none of them would ever return as RUSH unless all three appeared together.

This is actually old news - two years old. It's just that Alex decided to talk about it again. Neil has a few different physical problems, and touring became painful....

I'd really like to see Alex Lifeson do another solo record. It was by far the best of all of the solo projects.

Geddy's stuff sounds like Rush-light. Alex's is on a whole other plane.
