If experimenting with the major hallucinogens - I strongly recommend you stick to organics and avoid any of the man made varieties.
And grow it yourself if you can. Buying it on the street, you can end up with something you are not expecting ( trust me on that. its not fun ). More so now than in the 80s, but the stuff they mix with now can kill you, not just ruin an evening.

So now FB asks you if you have friends that are extremists, and will post a warning to you if you have seen 'extremist content'.
Wow.
( i wish i was making this up )
See, everyone should try something hallucinogenic at least once.
Like when I accidentally got my daughter drunk when she was 2 years old?
The scammers have been losing patience with people like me, who only want to waste their time so they can't spend it scamming other people.
"Extended warranty" madarchods, in particular, seem to hang up the moment I tell them I am driving a 1971 Dodge Dart. They don't even stop to ask "Do you have another vehicle" anymore. This is disappointing. So now I simply explain that my current ride is the scammer's mom, that she has a lot of miles on her but she's still a good ride.
The "student loan forgiveness" madarchods won't even talk to me. I think the predictive dialing is done by a different bunch of people than the actual call center, and when you "press 1 to be connected" it sends you from one place to the other. These folks either have the worst predictive dialer ever built, or the predictive dialer thinks I'm a real mark but the call center has me blacklisted, because it works the same every time: I spend a few minutes while my "call is being connected with no wait time" (I guess they don't know the meaning of that phrase) and then it hangs up.
That leaves the credit card madarchods, the free vacation madarchods, and the "IRS" madarchods. I can still keep those folks on the phone for a few minutes, but they won't spend as much time trading insults as they used to.
I used to be able to keep them on for another 5-10 minutes listening to them tell me what they wanted to do with my sister ... even if I told them that my name was Ben. Ben Chod.
Once in a while I'll get a good one. A few months ago I had a credit card madarchod spend 10 minutes on the phone with me trying to get me to prove to him that he's a scammer. It was an interesting conversation because he clearly didn't want to be the one to hang up first. We need more scammers like him.
They don't seem to like hearing "I've never owned a car in my life, you fucking liar."
Sort of surprised they work together that well, to remove you from the 'list' if you are a no-go for them. I figured they all operated independent, or is there really just one organization that is doing it and it just seems like lots of scammers?
I do a pretty mean Indian (dot not feather) accent - and the minute I do - they hang up on me. Like, immediately.
"Hello, social security officer! What have I done wrong? I just got my H1B turned to citizenship, and I do not want to be sent back!"
*click*
But, if I use an Irish accent - I can bait them along for quite a while. "Sounds white, let's get his money..."

I would assume they're buying their lists and other services from the same sources on the darkweb.

I dont see how, for phone scams at least. They just take blocks of area codes and scan them.... nothing to 'buy'.
I'm sure they *do* operate independently of each other. That's probably why I keep getting calls from the "student loan" madarchods that hang up as soon as my call is transferred -- the predictive dialer people do not have my number blocked, but the call center does.
Nomorobo really does work. If I weren't so damn cheap I'd pay the $2/mo to have it on my mobile.
The ones here, do that, they spoof local numbers. And each time the call back its a different local number. What is fun is when its YOUR number :)
Often times wen it starts here, its for several hours and you get call every 15 minutes. I have an answering machine to deal with them, but i still have to go back later and delete.
its VOiP via my fiber provider.
If it's a landline, and your phone service offers a "simultaneous ring" feature, go sign up for Nomorobo NOW. It works.
Wow, all my money concerns are now over. I just got an email that said i was awarded custody of "50 million american US dollars" and i can collect a 25% custody fee just for keeping it safe. All i have to do is give them my bank routing info by 12 noon to have it deposited.
go me!

That is awesome news.
What I got instead is an email telling me my debit card is going to be locked unless I give them my bank routing info and my bank login credentials.
It is OK, I got an e-mail with an old, known compromised password as the subject, telling me that I had been hacked and they had video of me jerking off on a porn site, as well as the video I was jerking it to, and all my contact lists - and for $3000, my friends wouldn't all get this video.
I guess my mother-in-law is in for a treat.
