was to fire the see-carpet brats that Iggy likes so much...
Unfortunately the firing was not done with a flamethrower.
It would have been appropriate if they'd been kept aboard, though, so we could call Mono a legacy technology.,

hm, mono is to young to be called legacy. I guess its simply "obsolete" since except for some silly cornerstone proof of concept apps it never really gained traction afaik.
Ugh.
Phone interviews....
They feel almost impossible for someone like me, because I can misinterpret questions with great ease without being able to see someone's face.
"O! To return to those halcyon days, before we had a sub-conscious."
The kinds of things you might hear if you work near me.
I find myself annoyed (for no good reason, really) at the effort required by my coworker to drink water from his bottle.
*Every* *single* *time* he drinks from this, which isn't rare, he exhales as if he has accomplished some major effort, like running up a flight of stairs, or lifting a great weight.
It shouldn't annoy me, but it does. And I'm too polite to say anything to him about it.
Aaaand, he just did it again.
I don't know if I've ever hear anyone swallow water this loudly, either.
I've taken to trying to drown out the sound of it by humming, or talking aloud, or whatever so I distract myself.
Soo stupid that this annoys me.
Join in, start cheering, play some stadium class winning music, throw confetti, etc.
Or simply leave an anonymous note, "Sorry that I am annoyed by your exhaling after drinking from your waterbottle". I bet it is something he doesn't do consciously, he simply formed an annoying habit.
play classical music at all times. If it doesn't drown out the sound, it will at least help you remain zen about it.

This! I just listen to bad 80's music (sub whatever suits your taste) and my annoying office wall loud talker fades in to the distance. If you need to do some heavy reading / comprehension work, I would consider the classical music a better alternative.
Heh... I'd love to have a nice classical background going on all the time on general principle, however, another general principle says I should avoid generating sounds in a cubicle farm.
Ah, that's interesting.
It's true that there are a number of noises like this that really annoy me, but I acknowledge that it's me, and try to simply deal with it.
Most of the time, my annoyance is mild, but this guy's efforts are more annoying to me than usual.
