i'm going off the 90's 'graphic novel' version. it was a bit darker than the 60's men in tights version.

Yes he's the only batman. But, only Christian Bale could be the dark night.
The dark knight isn't Batman. He's some random bat-like n00b.
I've never seen Christian Bale throw a punch and have it go "ZOWIE!"
KA-POW!

Why would you do that? The 1960s version was perfect in every way. Stop consuming the messed up versions.
Here is the thing... The "90's" graphic novel dark version only exists as an extension of the "80's edgy version". And as stand alone comics the edgy 80 versions were cool. As graphic novels, they're as cool as your S-NES. All that power wasted.
But *nothing*... Not 80s "killer" Wolverine - will ever replace the "golden age" of comics, which is where Adam West Batman exists.
Those were *heroes*. They did what was right.
Everything after did what felt *best*. Vigilantes. Revenge driven psychotics in spandex suits.
It is OK. I'm a kid of the 80s. I love the revenge driven psychotics in spandex suits.
But Ig is right. The guys in "tights" were actual heroes. We haven't had any of them for quite a while.

And whatever hero you love... you wouldn't have him without this guy - and his obsession with ripped blond men with dutch-painterboy haircuts.
And if you've never put together that Thor, Kamandi, Thundarr, and He Man are all the same character until now - you can't talk to me about comics, ever again.
My preference as well.
Well, other than Bronson, i didnt want to see him in a spandex suit as he ran around NYC blowing away criminals.

Who knows - it might have worked.

Nearly every character had cross-overs to the other 'brands'. "they have one, we need one too"
90% gets to be traced right back to Stan Lee

That isn't really what I meant, but it isn't *wrong*. :)
What I meant though - was that Jack Kirby contributed more than any other person in comic to the "archtype" of the "superhero".
I mean, even The Thing - as you envision him in your mind - is most likely the Jack Kirby version - which is just bald Thor with a skin condition.
Conan...
Superman:

Superman is the lamest hero of all. Instead of calling them Gary Stus... they should call them Clark Kents.

That is because Batman always carried his Bat kryptonite antidote.
That was a pretty cool clip.
What was Vicki's last name? I remember her... from a LOOOONG time ago.
