Why would you do that? The 1960s version was perfect in every way. Stop consuming the messed up versions.
Here is the thing... The "90's" graphic novel dark version only exists as an extension of the "80's edgy version". And as stand alone comics the edgy 80 versions were cool. As graphic novels, they're as cool as your S-NES. All that power wasted.
But *nothing*... Not 80s "killer" Wolverine - will ever replace the "golden age" of comics, which is where Adam West Batman exists.
Those were *heroes*. They did what was right.
Everything after did what felt *best*. Vigilantes. Revenge driven psychotics in spandex suits.
It is OK. I'm a kid of the 80s. I love the revenge driven psychotics in spandex suits.
But Ig is right. The guys in "tights" were actual heroes. We haven't had any of them for quite a while.

And if you've never put together that Thor, Kamandi, Thundarr, and He Man are all the same character until now - you can't talk to me about comics, ever again.

That isn't really what I meant, but it isn't *wrong*. :)
What I meant though - was that Jack Kirby contributed more than any other person in comic to the "archtype" of the "superhero".
I mean, even The Thing - as you envision him in your mind - is most likely the Jack Kirby version - which is just bald Thor with a skin condition.
