Nice. Is that a timed exposure taken at night?

Holy cow, dothebart, that is an impressive bit of filmwork, concerning the hornets and bees.

It's horrifying, too.

fascinating that the bees don't seem to have remotely a chance...

and the hornets can just bite them in half...

hornets vs. bees:

Very cool. Those hornets are scary looking. I hope they don't migrate.

whew, cool. always thought space rockets would go straight up, and not at an angle?

The go at an angle to get out over the ocean, you don't want a rocket full of fuel over a populated area. Here is the space shuttle
evening launch from my house.

And another from my last place of employment's parking lot.

Not very close, but you can see the angle of the shuttle taking off.

Having much fun!

Post some of your work.

A useless mildly amusing thing to do, find the first pictures people take with their new digital cameras. Do an image
search for the file name for various cameras. For example Sony uses the file name "DSCxxxxx.JPG" so do a image search for
DSC00001.JPG" and see find all the first pictures from Sony owners. try "IMG0001.JPG" etc.

Even more fun is to learn the screen layout of commonly available IP-connected video cameras and google those strings; anyone who made one accessible from the public Internet is now on the air!

I hadn't thought about that, I saw some web/IP cams with their passwords in the URL, but the camera manufacturers warned about
this in their manual

*hwaaarrrk*.
So for a long time now i've been hosting my own photos. Easy enough,
move them to the webserver, copy link location, paste to
forums/web/whatever.

So I do that... come home, and when everybody and their brother's
looking at forums... my internet slows to a crawl at home.

So ... photos are going to smugmug now. http://mule.smugmug.com/

You don't realize just how many photos you've taken over the years till
you want to move them all somewhere else.

I'll still keep my box up at home for the things that are against smug's
TOS, big files, VPN/SSH, etc.

The picture was made with the Canon 7D and a 400mm lens. It consists of 1920 pictures with 18 megapixel, which was recorded by a
photo-robot in 1 hour and 44 minutes.

With a resolution of 297,500 x 87,500 pixel (15.9 gigapixels) the picture is the highest resolution photo of Machu Picchu ever taken.
