pic from the US Damage division from Hiroshima: footprints of a person blown away... the arrow marks the direction where the pressure wave came from

Yowza. I am blown away by that picture. :)

(I wonder how different it would look, or even if there would be anything to see at all, if it were a megaton weapon instead of a kiloton weapon.)

I think we should detonate one just to make sure. But maybe not in that location.

and... if you choose a neutron bomb, you'll get similar pictures all over the place, even closer to the epi center..

neutrons first dry out life, and a soft detonation wave then whistles away the dust.

Actually, a neutron bomb would produce a lot more dead bodies, dropped right where they were standing.

What better way to power your cloud computing infrastructure, than with a generator that's actually in the cloud?

Nice! though you have to search a little to find a pic with more than 2 possible focuses

I couldn't bother. Great effort waste of technology.

I did find one picture that seemed to have three areas of focus (trophies in a line).

There were a few, a wedding picture, the models, some people sitting in an auditorium.  Would having everything in focus look awfully bad?  I know it would ruin the depth.

Well, if a photographer wants more depth of field, the usual move is to adjust the aperture. Based on that, I'm not sure this is all that big a deal. But we shall see!

Well, I think it's hard to refocus for depth of field in post production if you originally shot at a f/8 or so and you wanna blur the background and have it still look natural. But that's just me. I try to avoid as much post-production manipulation as I can mostly because I'm not too quick at it.

This little guy was sitting on our fence and playing around in the yard, in broad daylight.

I hear that rabies shots are very unpleasant.

Dang it. You caught one of my ninjas on the way to snowblower sabotage. He's going to have to go back to stealth school.

He stopped and looked right at us. He's not very good. Perhaps he should go to clown school instead -- it was the four little squeaky shoes that gave him away.
