What do you think the Green party is in the States? There are already leftist parties he can join if he wants to play that card.
I left the Republican party years ago and joined the Constitution party because the Republicans were not conservative or moral enough.
i prefer to remain independent, and not tied to any party. I prefer to vote for the person, and their record. Not just that they have a particular letter on their lapel.

I have a problem with this bit of news i saw too. Even if its not today, which i'm sure it will be as that is the nature of DC, it has potential for abuse over the long term. On all things like this, i always think the long term. So for those who think its a great thing because its Trump's admin doing it: "Be careful what you ask for" in effect. ( think Assange v2, but much worse )

When he was sick and should have been in under full term care, he was still towing the line, so they ignored it and threw their support behind him, but now that hes better, and is no longer towing the line, they now say hes not fit for duty.. Why don't they just come out, be honest, and say 'he no longer stands for our values, so he's no longer in the party'? Their base would be fine with that, and they would not look as clearly hypocritical to everyone else.
I also find it interesting that as he started to 'heal' from the stroke, he moved more right than he was to start with..
