It would be a fool's errand to form an opinion about Elon Musk based on how his relationship with President Trump is going on any given day.
I get it, though. Musk is an engineer. He expects things to behave according to rules that make sense. A rocket tilts one way, you fire the thruster on the other side and it corrects. So naturally he expected that after recovering billions of dollars in savings, the government would codify those savings into law. But that's not how the government works. It doesn't work in any way that makes sense. It *will* spend until it collapses.
Actually cutting spending would require the cooperation of everyone in Congress. The problem is that members of Congress who don't bring home the pork get voted out of office. Tytler famously pointed out that people will vote themselves largesse from the public treasury.
I'm looking forward to the end of the dollar. It'll be painful. VERY painful.
But if it gets replaced by a currency that no government can inflate, it'll at least remain globally stable.

This is an attempt to overthrow the government with the use of a foreign army.

In case anyone is wondering, there is only one correct response to the WAR currently going in in Los Angeles.

My observations/thoughts:
- Its a funded operation and was planed in advance, with all the signs and stuff ready to go for when ICE hit the city. Was just a matter of time, so they got ready.
- Doubt hardly any of the rioters are locals, all part of the planning and typical 'bus them in' we have seen over the last few years.
- Trump started throwing around the term insurrection to justify marines ( which i do believe is within his authority, after reading the law ), so they suddenly stopped flying foreign flags. Clearly they don't want to push the limits too far. ( see last item )
- The looters, i suspect are local, disorganized and unrelated, and just taking advantage of the chaos, which is their SoP.
- I suspect there is no serious long term intent, and its a distraction. From what, i'm not sure.
Looks like Musk backed down and is kissing the ring to make up. Wimp. Just proves he's WAY to much tied to our tax dollars for his empire.
Might be nothing. Might be something.. Time will tell.
