I know this is a bit of an older message. Found this while trying to do some research and track down some folks. Anyone happen to know what group he was referring to? Not finding anything public when I search Facebook.

I noticed we don't have an "I'm a middle aged man and my body shape is changing" room. In an attempt to avoid looking like a Weeble, I bought a pair of suspenders yesterday. And they are so damn comfortable.
(Note to my friends on the other side of the pond: "suspenders" over here are what you call "braces" over there. What you call "suspenders" we call "garters". I am NOT wearing women's stockings. But that won't stop the comments from the peanut gallery.)
The only downside is that it's a nuisance to have to unclip everything when I use the toilet. (TMI?)

I started wearing a vest, in part, to hide the use of suspenders, and to hide my weight gain.
I still wear the vest despite having lost so much weight, because I generally like the way they look.
The problem I had with my weight gain, though, involved some medical issues I think we already discussed here. I hope you don't go through what I went through.

No health issues, but thanks for asking. I'm just a bit more round at the
middle these days, as tends to happen to men my age. As someone pointed out
to me a couple of weeks ago: when your belly becomes the same size as your
hips, belts stop working.
And right now there's no snapping because I'm wearing them underneath a shirt that is not tucked in. With a button-down shirt I suppose I would tuck it in and wear the suspenders on the outside.

I had planned to fly out Sunday night for a business trip beginning Monday
morning. My flight was canceled so I had to reschedule the flight to Monday
night and just attend the first day remotely.
Last night my flight was delayed, delayed, delayed, canceled. I didn't want to get up stupid early on Tuesday to travel, but that was the only option.
So here it is, Tuesday, I finally make it to the site ... just in time to be served crappy non-NY pizza.

Hello. I'm the former Sysop of The Amiga Archives/The Sanitarium BBS, a 916
Citadel. Familar with the reputation of Uncensored. I ran the BBS agani for
a while in the early 2000's on a Sparc 5 - but eventually the traffic from
old, curious 916 locals died down and I put it out to pasture again. Lately
I've been nostalgic for the old days and sick and tired of Facebook, Twitter,
and other social media. I've been playing around with old Retro equipment
and stated setting up Telnet for Vice on a RetroPie, and then realized Putty
and my Windows 10 system would do just as well. The Welcome Room here certainly
has me pegged that way. Anyhow... I'm not sure how long this will last - but
it is nice to <g>oto my way through a bunch of rooms for the first time in
10 maybe 15 years.

I remember you. (Barely. Sorry, it's been 20 years, after all.) I went by Roadkill then.
Ah, I used that version of Citadel, I think, on my Amiga 500 when I hosted Machine's Machinations in Japan.
(Couldn't network it to the US, unfortunately... far too expensive).
