Feature request: when being asked for a password on the command-line client,
can CTRL-C please be used to abort the operation? I mistyped my username
(kc5tja), it asked me to create the account, I tried to abort via ~. but that
didn't work. Out of habit, I was typing another command, which included 'y'
in it, and, well, here we are.

I've always preferred Citadel's spartan terminal interface to the others out there at the time.
It helped you focus entirely on conversation, and not stoopid 'signatures' with ANSI codes, animations, and other rot.
Consequently, I found conversations on Citadel systems to have a higher quality than on FidoNet or WWIVnet.
Although, unfortunately, the latter two BBS networks had far more people participating.

Probably. I got tired of dealing with it so if anyone really wants SSL they
can accept the certificate.

People complain about 3270-style screen-oriented interfaces all the time, it seems; however, when push comes to shove, it seems more people prefer them to something more free-form. Like, on the one hand, "LOLZ, the 60s called and they want their block-oriented terminals back," but as soon as you present an interface of simpler structure, they're all like, "LULZ, where R teh fancy ANSI graffix and slicc menyooz?"
You just can't please everyone.
Heh.. today's version of ANSI animations are 'Web 2.0' or whatever they're calling it these days... oh, I think it's 'Responsive' now.
As everyone who actually uses these things knows ... and this applies to people who work in hospitals, at point of sale terminals, mechanical shops, etc ... once you learn a keyboard based interface, it is MUCH faster to operate than something that requires a mouse.
