Exchange perhaps? Or was it a one shot deal?
Dunno. I mean, he gave me the hen just because. I messaged him telling him the hen was gonna end up convincing the other hens to kill her and he told me to just swing her back to his pen over the fence next time I visited the donkeys.
To be honest, I feel so sorry for the hen. It is her fault for being so stupid, but still...
So shes happy to be home.
So in effect, a happy ending, for her.
Tue Jun 11 2024 11:44:31 EDT from darknetuserWell, duty called me into office on sunday, so I could not deliver the hen back. I had to task my father with doing it while I was away fixing burnt stuffs. He told me the hen ran towards her henfriends, just as happy as my favourite mare when she gallops towards me to greet me lol

That's the best she could have gotten, other than actually adjusting to my flock and being happy here.
Still I feel bad because I received a beautiful healthy hen and I had to return a beaten bloodied hen with half her feathers plucked.
Bleh. 65 yesterday ( yay ). 85 today.. ( ick ) 90 tomorow ( sigh) .. 95 next week. ( arrgh )
Other than for solar panels, i really hate that evil yellow ball in the sky.
Around these parts, we call it summer.
Does not mean i have to like it tho..

You are aging so fast man. Slow down. Try a single birthday per year.
Out and about today, and aside from 3.60 a gallon gas (!) noticed a few other things along the way.
Lowes, hardware chain, no longer has cashiers in the main building.. *only* self-checkout. Only a single cashier lane outside the garden area... And they are expanding their 'internet pickup area'. I assume customer service can still checkout, but didn't stick around long. got my roundup concentrate and bailed.
Walmart across the street is remodeling..
- Isles are 2x the width now ( my guess its to better accommodate 'picker carts', perhaps even coming robot pickers. )
- Shelves are shorter and thinner so store less stuff. ( many seem to be just the 'hanging hooks of stuff', not even real shelves )
- Reorg to a lot more open floor space
- Layout is far less customer friendly for moving around the store randomly. ( "browsing" )
- several areas around the perimeter now walled off, looks like setting up for some sort of indoor internet pickup station to go along with the 'to your car pickup'. ( used to have this huge robot tower thing. was actually sort of neat. it went away in 2020, might be v2 coming )
- Entire front is now self-checkouts. only 4 cashier lanes..
looks like they are gearing up to not want customers around.
Also got oil changed in the jeep at a local car place, non chain. ( the real reason i was out ). Too hot and too lazy to do it myself this time. 75 bucks (!) ( true, its high millage synthetic, but still, ack! )
Really took a leap today, way out of my lane.
Bought a pair of shoes.. dark brown almost black. Tho i could only go so far, they are the same style i have been wearing since i was 5. 1960s moc-toe boots, with crepe sole. But always been the normal light tan.
Going to freak a few people out when they see it. :)
Obviously when I broke my ankle seven years ago I did the same a few times.
That's what they're for.
But you know what we always say ... stereotypes come into existence for a reason. When you go into a Wal-Mart a lot of the people on scooters are just fat trash.

How do you assume that they're fat trash?
Hmm local Kroger 'marketplace' is doing the same thing: Lowering shelves. widening isles, removing 'cross walks' in isles. Pulled out an area for the 'picker carts' to park in ( smaller version store around here did that a couple of years ago ) 1/2 the shelves are empty too. ( i know, just part of moving things around, but still funny to see. "wait is this 2020 again! " :) )
( Kroger is a large grocery chain, marketplace is the larger store version, for those not in the Midwest. it has some housewares, they make warm food. On site bakery, dining area, Starbucks, etc. )
