Yeah, I get that. While I personally try to avoid going there, the environment can sometimes feel otherwise.
Many of us are what I call the indiginous people of the online world -- we were here before it went mainstream. We have different norms and social mores and expectations and sometimes we say and do things that don't sit well with our non-indiginous neighbors. I've been canceled IRL for this more than a few times. But it also turns off people who don't understand that it's all just a bunch of organized chaos, that it's just words on a screen.
My concern over 'bella is the announcement. People who do that rather than simply making a quiet exit, either intentionally or by losing interest in returning, usually have something else going on. I hope everything is ok.
As for PD, he's still around, but I do recall he said that he was concerned that feeding his best online presence into Uncensored reeduces the value of his own site. That's why although he's here from time to time his volume is sparse. I have long-term plans to fix issues like this using federation and syndication, not just for Citadels but in the larger world.
The role of a community BBS has changed. Today, where the major social sites comprise the roar of the information superhighway, a site like this one is the corner pub where the locals gather. Personally I find it refreshing to have a different space. I'd like it to be a *little* bigger, though.
No new accounts but even I am being hit hard today. 20+ . i do require logins to see anything, but they are getting to the login page .. normally i see 1 or none

Hitler seems to log in quite often but never posts anything. That's probably good, I guess?
And the combination of drugs they gave her, ended up going back in 2 times. First trip back she had to stay overnight. IV fluids as she was dehydrated to the point of being dangerous. Seems to be out of the woods as far as the reactions are concerned. A week of sleepless nights.
i just hope they got all the cancer cut out. They think they did...

So the lump they removed from my dogs skin last week turns out to be

At this point i think so. We used the last of the gastro-medications last night. So next couple of days will be the final test if there is any relapse.
I have been reading that even if they did get it all, average life span afterwards is around 3 years. Not ready for that. Going to be rough and i wont be the same person afterward. I had a special cat for 20 years at my side ( i think he qualified as an light colored apple-head Siamese.. ), never really recovered from that either. I changed.
Of course I have had other animals, still do, and care for them all dearly, but these 2 were different.
