Yesterday was the birthday of Chuck Norris, Osama bin Laden, Uncensored, and my daughter.
I tried acting as if I didn't know what day it was, but it was my way of saying Happy Anniversary.
I feel strange saying "Happy Birthday" to people I don't know but there was a happy birthday for your daughter. You as dad have good memories of that day.

I think I was just searching for lightweight BBS software, and found about CItadel/UX. Then I reached Uncensored, and here I am.

Cynbe ru Taren (Jeff Prothero) was the originator of Citadel, nearly 40 years ago. He handed it off to Jeff Mitchell, and since then there have been a number of notable implementations, particularly Vince Quaresima's version for MS-DOS, and of course the one you're logged into now, which began in 1987.
Congratulations, you've found the place that is basically carrying the torch for Citadel as an online community. I hope you will stick around and be a part of it.
How many public Citadel BBSes are there right now? Is it just you and I?

most of them are on private systems.
Well, I thought you had removed the Networked rooms in the development version?
This is not like common-style BBS which seem specifically tailored to work as part of huge networks. Citadel has this vibe that is intended to be private but may ocasionally network a room or two

I think there is a different connotation to "private" in this case.
This is a public Citadel - anyone can log onto it. Mine is too. They exist more as BBSes than as mail servers or groupware.
I get the feeling the majority of the implementations, judging from the support room requests, are by people running them as "private" systems - either as mail servers or groupware for internal clients - not systems open to the general public.
