I didn't say inside or outside, I just said bottom.

Aaaah, I see. You cook with your pots upside down, setting the food on the bottom of them, and... no, wait, that's probably not it.

Who said Robin Williams is dead?  Clearly his soul is alive and well....

Fillet of Robin?  I think not :-)

I have an idea for a headline worthy of The Onion concerning Mr. William's death, but some might think it's 'too soon'.

Good. Post it and weed out the hypersensitive people.

It really upsets me that you want to weed out the hyper-sensitive people.

Usually celeb deaths don't disturb me, but I really feel sad about Williams.

Ruben Pie.
http://www.cupcakeproject.com/2014/03/reuben-pie.html

It is both corned beef AND a pie

Gads.

I wonder how that tastes.

I will have to try it and let you know. If you like ruben sandwhiches it can't be bad. A take on the chicken
pot pie?

Maybe someone here can answer the question that seems to have been lost in the crowd over in the Israel> room....

Is turkey bacon something that can be eaten by a kosher-observant Jew?

I suspect it is, but would prefer this to be confirmed.

As long as the turkey was slaughtered and handled/prepared in a kosher manner, and there's nothing non-kosher in the way of added/preparative materials used in the process, it should be.

So I'd have to look for some indication on the package that it is kosher, then. Right?

That would be correct, sir...and if it IS kosher, it will be fleischig, not parve.

Excellent. And now back to the discussion of Reuben Pie. Have you made it yet? (Regrettably it's not kosher, which is a shame because corned beef and swiss were made for each other!)

No but I will make it. I happen to have rye flour as I like baking my own bread. I also wonder how it would be
with a top crust and Russian/thousand island (Reuben sandwich spread) on it instead of the topping. Don't cook
the spread put it on afterwards.

So I'm in Ogden, UT for the week, and my hotel adjoins an Irish pub serving all manner of delicious traditional fare. I may not actually eat anywhere else this week; there are a lot of things to try.
