I dont care what you are, own it, and dont be fake to scam people.

In reference to the recent announcement and video of Kat Von D "look im a Christian now, in my white dress getting baptized" "Occult is bad."    Sure worked for her to get rich, now tosses it aside. Fake hypocrite.

Sure it does, over 10000s of years it can be drastic. But by nature, not the temporary inhabitant, the insignificant flea, man.

Get a bill from nearly 1.5 years ( yes YEARS ) after a medical visit. "you have one month to pay this or we send you to collections"

wtf. should be illegal. If you cant get a bill out in a timely manner, you forfiet your money.

i think the next time someone says something like 'Save Our Democracy" i'm going to punch them in the face. We never were, and I hope to never be, a Democracy. There are reasons our founders structured us a Republic.

Damned socialists

( i know, sort of political sort of rant.. )

I've noticed I call people and things "socialist", "communist" and "Marxist" a lot less often than my commie friend calls people and things "capitalist".

No, they tend to use "fascist" instead. Commies can only imagine everything on a axis of various forms of socialism.

Subject: Job applications

So I submitted my CV to a job offering. Candidate selection processes suck cocks.

After I sent them my CV, they asked me for my CV, then they asked me the same questions in about three different occasions throughout the month. They also asked me if I can read and write English despite so fucking much of my CV showing a daunting list of bibliography and docmuentation related jobs. Bonus points because they asked me over email (in English) by replying to an email of mine (in English).

I am so fucking glad I am getting more and more close to complete self-sufficiency here so I will be able to completely opt-out of society. JOb selection processes are just degrading.

What I see suggests job application processes are worse today than they were ten years ago. What I hear suggests they were worse 10 years ago than 23 years ago.

Aaannnddd another ban coming. This time PVC which is used *everywhere*.  Is there anything they dont plan on taking from us? ( really, that is a serious question )

At this rate we will be naked ( since you cant make clothes ), living in caves ( cant build houses ), freezing ( since you cant have any fuel that makes warmth )  and starving ( since gates owns all the farmland, and you cant find trees left to make spares to catch the last few food animals, since they are being banned too )

Really sick of this.

I hate systemd with such a burning passion.

There's an application I want to download and run. It uses X11 and audio, and it pollutes your home dir with a bunch of shit, so I don't want to run it as myself. Otherwise, I trust it, so there's no reason to go as far as sandboxing it with a VM or whatever. I just want to keep it from creating a bunch of non-hidden junk in my home dir every time I run it. So I decided to create a new user and run it as the special user. Turns out this is not so easy anymore because systemd has taken over login management and it fucking sucks.

Yes its evil and pottering should be the first one against the wall. ( for this and his stupid PulseAudio too ). But, there are still alternatives. 3 come to mind instantly:

*BSD.  LFS. Deuvan  ( im sure i spelled that wrong )

And i think Slackware is still disease free. But i could be wrong, it might have lost the battle.

Human Resources is, ironically, one of humanity's absolutely worst creations.

I love how they mangle job descriptions, looking for candidates who have at least five years of experience with a skill or technology that has only existed for three years, for example.

Department heads need to do their own hiring without HR getting involved.
HR should only be a bunch of clerks who handle paperwork and benefits. But like all parasitic bureaucrasies, they overfeed themselves and get bigger and bloateder.

Slackware is still free from the worst of the modern bloat of the Linux ecosystem because Patrick is very traditionalist. He didn't integrate PAM officialy until the latter fucking release. You know what? I can totally respect that.

Devuan is a good alternative for Debianites who want to use stuff compatible with Debian without the political drama that comes with Debian and without init-Potterware.

Most of the other SystemD-free options in Linux are quite niche. There is Gentoo, Tiny Core Linux, Void, KISS, Carb Linux... but if you are using Debian, chances are you are not the target audience of anyn of those.
