I'd rather argue Trump is the most evil option right now.
Mon Jul 18 2016 21:04:18 EDT from zooer @ UncensoredSo this is a vote for evil, ... The lesser of two evils is still evil. If you vote for evil, expect to get evil.
evils? If we could name someone less evil, in your view, you would
make the excuse that only two people have a chance in the one party
Nope. Remember, I voted Libertarian for a long time, because their platform had the closest match to my own political views. 2012 was the first time I didn't vote LP in a presidential election, because I didn't (and still don't) like Gary Johnson. His idea of getting rid of most of what's left of our military is unacceptable in a world where threats are increasing. The fact that he now says terrorism is no big deal cements that even further. Gary Johnson's policies will eventually lead to the US being taken over and turned into part of a caliphate.
I never vote AGAINST. I always vote FOR.
Once again, SHOW ME your better alternative; otherwise all of this is just taunting rather than a meaningful discussion.

Ok, I'm voting for Hillary... just because she's evil and will therefore piss off zooer. :-)
At least YOU have a reason, but it wont piss me off.

Hey.... wait. I thought you were voting for me. I had you picked out as part of my administration.
Gary Johnson is a moron.
Basic income for all, paid for by a carbon tax. See, that's the kind of thinking that led me to the decision that the Libertarian Party isn't really for libertarianism; they're really just a bunch of liberal democrats who want legalized drugs.
(I don't have a problem with drug legalization, but pragmatically that has to be supported by a whole lot of other things to prevent taxpayers from footing the bills for junkies.)
And that's why I voted FOR Mitt Bush Cruz Romney. Even with his *many* faults, he was still superior to Gary Sharia Johnson.

Donald Trump has told prospective donors that, if elected president, he plans to nominate former Goldman Sachs banker Steve Mnuchin for U.S. Treasury Secretary.
I think I posted a similar article above, but let me summarize Mr. Foobar's response.
Something about HITLERY, Something about team CU?NTon, bla bla bla, name a better choice, I support Trumps's platform.... whatever it is. bla bla bla.
I do I have a question as I am not familiar with Republican customs or rules. Does the nominee make the sharp turn to the left after he gets the nomination or does he wait until the convention is over?
I can not name a better candidate because I don't think good men wish to rule others. I don't look up to politicians the way you do.

Fair enough, but do you see any alternatives perceived as superior?
Reform voting laws.
Get rid of our current system. It's fundamentally broken.
Then, maybe.
Oh, but here's the way I view it...
Someone promotes either one of these bozos. By promoting either of them, regardless of which one, you implicitely suggest they're worth voting for.
They aren't.
They are both terrible, terrible people.
Both of them (not one or the other) will try to milk the common man out of hard-earned wages to ingratiate their own desires. Neither of them care about the common man.
Both of them should get fucked.
So I'm not falling for the trap of having to say which one is better. They are both drastically detrimental to this country, and neither should be promoted by anyone, regardless of whether or not there are alternatives.
Our voting system requires reformation, because it's completely broken if it allows us to get to a place where these two asshats should be our only choices.

Ok, I get it. Nobody cares, nobody can fix the economy, nobody keeps campaign promises, so vote for nobody.
Call me overly optimistic but I don't think we're quite there yet. Ask me again on November 9 (if Cuntbag wins) or in 2020 (if Trump wins) and we'll re-evaluate that assessment, ok?

You finally understand, here is your bumper sticker!
Please stop telling me that my non-participation in the system is a vote for Hillary. That is *pure* bullshit. Like you I am going to vote for exactly who fits my political beliefs. Although I have been registered to both parties at one time, I have always gone back to independent/No Party Affiliation. I did not vote in 1998, 2000, 2002, not voting in Nov will be easy.
Trump is crap, and deep inside you know that. If elected he isn't going to build a wall, he isn't going to stop immigration. He is going to do what is best for him, while everything else continues on as it has.
The Wall(TM) is now an official plank of the party platform! (Which is ridiculous.)
It doesn't go far enough, of course. To prevent a terrorist from landing a stolen plane in the Canadian wilderness and slipping across the border, you need to build a wall on the entire 49th parallel, including all those mountains...

I respectfully disagree. Of course, I've been wrong before. We will see.
As far as pessimistic outcomes, I can see two:
1. Cuntbag wins the election (via cheating, of course). Constitution shredded.
2. Trump wins the election (by a landslide, but due to democrat cheating it comes out as a squeaker) ... but is blocked by liberals in both parties of Congress from accomplishing his agenda.
And yes, from a perspective that (any candidate one supports) is the only possible catalyst for positive change, not voting *is* effectively equivalent to (candidate seen as most harmful).
