There's a view out there that Trump is actually just trolling the GOP on a really genius level...

...and people wonder why I love his style so much?

No, we wonder why you love his *bile* so much.

You obviously haven't been to, or seen a telecast of, a Trump rally. Nothing but love in the room. (Except for the occasional protestor sent by Clinton/Cruz of course.)

I was at a Trump rally, I wasn't attending the rally, but was with some friends at the bar hosting the rallies the night of the NY primary and the night he crossed the needed delegates. I said something about this in this room before you purposely and deliberately* deleted a years worth of messages. I know you would restore from backup if the database was corrupted.

While I didn't see love I did see plenty of fried foods and a cheese platter.  The "Trump 2016" sign kept falling, I figured that was an omen.

*(May not have been purposely or deliberately)

This is great. So after Ted Cruz' dad conspired with Lee Harvey Oswald*...

(* might not actually have conspired with Lee Harvey Oswald)

There was no conspiracy. Ted Cruz himself pulled the trigger*

(* might not actually have pulled the trigger)

(And I really hate that we lost all those messages. There was some good stuff in there.)

Trump sucks. Period.

However, Hillary sucks more.

Trump is not a conservative in any sense.

And if you look at who is political operatives are, they are all Washington insiders.

His candidacy is an afront to all true Conservatives.

In the immortal words of Thomas Jefferson - "I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just."

That's just it. We've "been fooled again" by the outsider shtick.

Then you need to look up from your copy of National Review (or is it Mother Jones? It's hard to tell the difference) and look around the real world.
Trump is the best thing to happen to the Republican party since Ronald Reagan.
Anyone who disagrees is part of the problem.

Trump is the best thing to happen to the Republican party since Ronald Reagan.

With the way that Reagan spent and increased the size of government, that should scare you.

 * Increased federal spending by 53%.
 * Tripled the federal debt.
 * Increased foreign aid by nearly 120%.
 * Doubled the Department of Education budget, despite promising to eliminate it altogether.
 * Hired almost 250,000 new federal employees.
 * Added more trade barriers than any administration since Herbert Hoover.
 * Ramped up the War on Drugs; created a new “drug czar’s office.”
 * Imposed a 100% tariff on some Japanese electronic products.

He had a lot of great *quotes*.

But that worked out so well.

Ok, I was giving Reagan the benefit of the doubt, but if you want to pick on Reagan, go ahead and modify it to "Trump is the best thing to happen to the Republican party since Abraham Lincoln."

I wonder if Ted Cruz is going to speak at the DNC tonight. He'll probably give a stirring speech endorsing Hillary Clinton. For that matter, I'll bet fellow losers Bush, Bush, and Romney will be there too.

The good news, however, is that no matter who wins this election, the GOP as we know it is now dead. If Trump wins it gets reformed; if Cuntbag wins they'll simply never win anything again. Maybe Cruz will have better luck running as a democrat in 2024. His hatred of America/Trump would make him a perfect candidate.

This I will agree, but the GOP died several elections ago, it has been on life support. The two party system merged and operated the GOP label. You are right, the GOP will not win a presidential election again.

That's a self-disproving statement. Trump is no Lincoln. Trump is the polar opposite of Lincoln.

I mean wow, the GOP was founded with the explicit goal of abolishing black slavery, and now with Trump's explicitly white-nationalist agenda you've come full circle. The party of Lincoln is truly dead.

Nationalist. Not "white" nationalist. When not being misquoted by the liberal media, Trump is abundantly clear that he is for Americans of all races, as long as they are here legally.

In essence, Trump *is* a modern-day Lincoln, in that he is disrupting the political establishment in order to abolish their agenda of having a permanent underclass.
