I went to visit with my sister for the holiday, and managed to return to tell the tale.
I found out last night that former user of Haven BBS, White Shadow, passed away around Halloween. I don't know if anyone here would remember him or not, but Haven BBS was connected via the network with Uncensored.
Vaguely remember the name. It's a bit sobering when you get to an age where
people start dying that you consider your contemporaries and not part of
"some older generation." I know that our community is more age diverse now
but many of us are "the BBS generation" and we're hitting that age. Ward
Christensen is 71 and still alive.
Someone needs to update the wikipedia information, according to wikipedia there are no active citadels.

That's weird -- it shows the list for a moment and then it disappears. But
it's clearly not a current list.
That list is really old. Haven finally shutdown in 2011 when I no longer had a place to host it. I still own the domain though, so I guess I could start something up again if I really wanted to, and had somewhere to do it.
