Not yet ... I will try it at some point.  Now that the heat wave is over I'm drinking hot coffee again.

Dish of the day:

BILIRUBIN

Bilirubin is made with sliced goat meat, swiss cheese, saurkraut and Russian dressing served on grilled rye bread.

(This is what I ate yesterday at the jamaican kosher deli)

You haven't read silence of the lambs, have you?

Somebody uses the nickname Billy Rubin for a certain reason in the book. I also hope the dish wasn't overly brown....

That is what I thought, that sir, is a bodily function.

(and a South Florida lobbyist has that name.)

I prefer them on a skewer as souvlaki, as a shank or in a rack.

For people who are fans of Alton Brown.. He might be mostly hawking his new book, but there was a bunch of Q&A done via twitter the other day.

Coneys come from Michigan. Period. All others are just hot dogs with shit on them.

Cincinnati = dogs with shit on them. End of story. You're more likely to get Ig to agree there's good Pizza in Albuquerque.

That's kind of how I feel about Chicago style hot dogs (or really, Chicago style *anything*).

To me, the perfect hot dog is a Nathan's with saurkraut and dark mustard.
Doesn't get any better than that.

My favorite part of Thanksgiving is the leftover turkey sandwiches. (Yes, I know it's October. I made Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. I'll make it again on Thanksgiving. Anyone who complains about it is obligated to first remove all of the Stupidfest decorations from all retail stores.

You just had a late Canadian Thanksgiving.

I miss doing those Ig. When will we do that again?

Canadian Thanksgiving is now known as "Columbus Day" and anyone who argues otherwise is a racist who hates Italian-Americans. As for when will we do it again ... I was out of town this year ... but really ... turkey dinner don't need no reason!

Also I think people from Turkey ought to be called Turkeys, not Turks. It just makes more sense.

(By the way ... there was a really good picture of a delicious turkey sandwich attached to my previous message, which you probably missed if you were using the text client. I texted it to my teenager, who made one for himself the moment he came home.)
