Adblock Plus. But I suspect it would work with any ad blocker that has a "block element" button.

Currently I use a combination of DNS blocking an proxy filtering for advertisements.

On a side note, on Firefox you can delete elements from the HTML code using the web inspector, I think.

In spite of never having been there I too will miss the 11' 8" bridge.

My truck is 13" high, and I live in the UK. I shall miss it none the less.

I found another channel you might like, it is the edited video taken
from the many exterior security cameras of a web/cloud hosting
company's very small parking lot.  Apparently there are several bars
located nearby and people park their vehicles in the private parking
lot. The parking lot has several "No Parking" signs.  In his spare
time one of the employees makes videos of the vehicles as they pull
into the parking area, the video shows the occupants of the vehicles
and what they are doing before they leave the parking lot. He edits
the tow truck towing the vehicles and the reaction of the car's
occupants when they return to find their car has been towed.   I am
amazed at how quickly a tow truck can grab a vehicle.

I've been watching this channel ever since you suggested it more than a year ago. It's awesome. It's funny how the material is kind of dry, but Oger is such a good storyteller that he makes it so much fun to watch.

So it is with great joy that I can tell you that the Virtbiz site is on my list of places to (hopefully) visit when we are in Dallas next month. Me, the IGlet, and Big Butt Bear are planning to drive there and wave to the cameras.
We are hoping that we will be noticed and included in the next fan video.

Who knows ... maybe Oger will come out and say hi.

Bring a sign that says "Uncensored BBS loves GTOger"

There will be signs. Haven't decided what they'll say yet.

Just saw the 11 foot 8 bridge, lol, some great nuggets of gold in this BBS. We have many bridges like that in England, and generally they have lots of yellow stripy paint and banners over them,

rather than a small sign and a digital display. :) I like it better your way though guys :D

We finally made it to The Parking Lot Of Sadness!

My son and my cousins came with me, along with Big Butt Bear of course.  You can see that we did make some signs, but the signs only faced their cameras, not ours.

We're really hoping to appear in a fan video soon!

Now that I've been to the 11'8" bridge, and to the Parking Lot of Sadness ... what's next?  Do I have to go to Finland to visit Lauri and Anni of the Hydraulic Press Channel?

I don't subscribe to the channel so if he has a fan video let us know.

Why don't you take a trip to Scotland?

Did you or any family member take the time to pee in the parking lot of sadness?

[#] Sun Jan 19 2020 20:14:48 UTC from IGnatius T Foobar

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

No. There are big signs saying "If you pee here, you may be sprayed with water and appear on YouTube."

The reason you went there was to appear on youtube.

Not worried about it :) Next time there's a fan video, we will hopefully be in it. And if not, we made our own video [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayj9BXTrYZU ]. It was fun to be there, right on the same scene as all of those videos we had watched.

There was no peeing because (1) I didn't have to go, and (2) that's gross.

It is entirely possible that I will be on the Isle of Man at some time in 2021, I'll confirm when I know the dates. You can then time your visit appropriately.

Apparently this was important enough to spam everyone who has ever registered an account, no matter how long ago...

BIZX, LLC has merged with SourceForge Media, LLC. The new company will be called "Slashdot Media, LLC."

Yeah ... apparently Slashdot is still around, and they still suck as much as they did when most of us stopped reading them. SourceForge and Wirefly and MyRatePlan are also part of the basket of goodies that "BIZX" slurped up.

Dunno who "BIZX" is but they're in California so I assume it's the Chinese.

Sourceforge is a dead zone these days. It's all about github and gitlab
