Despite the ridiculous nature of the article, I think people still use jQuery quite a bit. I see it used within Rails, etc., often with Bootstrap to help make everything look a little nicer with less effort.
Heh... getting away from OOP... "functional" programming... makes sense when you're working with web pages (since pages don't exactly store state), but I don't expect you can use that hammer with everything.
It doesn't appear that jQuery is going to disappear anytime soon. It's everywhere.

TIL that you can easily bypass profanity filters on web forums, by inserting U+200B in the middle of "banned" words.
And then I noticed this:
I've found the World's Biggest Selection online. And it isn't from eBay or Shamazon.
Replacement parts for Intex pools. Their list of parts goes on LITERALLY forever. (Actually, it's an infinitely scrolling web page that shows the same items over and over again.)
It might be amusing to create a web site that provides a parts list for The World.
That's closer to the universe.
THIS IS THE MOST WORTHY AND NOBLE CAUSE **EVER**

I can not take your request seriously there are less than 15 exclamation points after "**EVAR**", in fact there are none. You misspelled 'evar' as well.
(There, I went way past fifteen bangs, and added some 1's and invoked the word "teh" for good measure.)
I have to say, this is fantastic:
The very end, when the puppy just looks into the camera... awesome!
Does it display an error page because the large hadron collider has already destroyed the world?
When it destroys the world it will let you know.
I think your link is supposed to be
(without the /(space) ) at the end.
Funny thing was I just visited this page today, and then checked here, and it was linked...
Hint.. View the source for a surprise...

My link worked for me in both the text client and the web client.
Ahhhh.... the chosen one.
