Yaakov's off to England today.

He just got back from England on Friday.

Before that he was home for a week

and before that, he spent a week in Oslo.

It's not been an easy month around here.

(Couple that with the fact that i've been having contractions for the past 5 weeks... and I'm only week 23.. and it's been very difficult.)

You need to NOT have contractions. Seriously, STOP doing what you're doing, get on bedrest, get friends and family to take care of everyone else.

I remember this horrible story, when I was on bedrest with Shlomo and Adina, at some point I was in a room with 7 other pregnant women. We were all high risk for one reason or another. One woman was told if she walks around, she would definitely lose her pregnancy. Someone came to visit her in the hospital and told her that her other kids were in the streets and no one was watching them at all. She asked her husband, and he said to come home and take care of them. When she told him she'd lose the pregnancy, he said so what, there will be another one next year. She went home.
We were all horrified.
Seriously triL, you've GOT to get people to help you out. Contractions that early is really bad.

Wow, Shazam, talk about cold (that husband)....

TriL, agree; take care of yourself!

So  I got checked out - the doc said to take it easy, but he didn't say bedrest - he said try not to overdo it.
He also said that (sorry if this is TMI) my cervix is long and closed (ie showing no signs of anything happening).

He also said that the fact that I got to 39 weeks without incident twice before means my body apparently knows how to handle pregnancy, and is unlikely to screw it up this time.

And wow - what a horrific story. There are people who would take care of my kids, but basically, unless I get to the point where I must stay in bed, my husband considers anything I don't do an act of laziness.
If the doctor says I have to stay in bed, he will then become the exact opposite and get upset if I stand up to shower...

Don't take husband disappointment to heart. It's not healthy for your heart. it's good, what the doctor said, that you are unlikely to have any serious trouble. But DO take it easy, it might be helpful then to write out everything you do each day- like a food diary, but for actions. That way you can see what you're able to cut out.

I didn't see any highway signs that say "ZOOER LIVES HERE ---->"

And on the way home the GPS took us on a very weird route. Miles and miles of back roads through silly towns.

If you went through a silly town you probably went by my house.

And there is a sign on the thruway that says "zooer lives here"... well it is written on a sign... very small,
probably faded by now.
