So I'm down in my work room (which looks suspiciously like a storage room,
but with more bookshelves and leather scraps and tools and empty beer bottles)
and I fired up the vintage 2004 iBook (1Ghz G4, 768M RAM, 20G HD) to watch
more Clone Wars DVDs, since that's all it is good for these days. On a whim,
I decided to check my e-mail, too (which doesn't require a modern browser,
just ssh).
Even just tooling around and doing basic tasks with this machine, I'm reminded that their hardware really does have quite a bit of polish, and the interface is pleasant and consistent. My other computing environments are Windows XP (which is, I grant, a little behind the power curve) and Linux Mint Debian Edition (the Cinnamon desktop, I think). I like the latter quite a bit, but it still has some disconcerting oddities as far as where settings are placed and how reliably certain basic things (e.g. DVD playing) function.
No real point here. I just kind of wish I'd gotten a real chance to use this machine when it was current. I had it for about three weeks, and then my wife joined me (then in CA) and took custody immediately; I only got visitation rights on "my" new laptop until I bought her a new one in 2010.

What was the about leather straps?
Scraps. I was making a new ammo pouch for my revolver.
I set up a castle in the sky. Or, at least, a Citadel in the cloud
It's called a "castle on a cloud" with respect to Les Miserables (the original one, the one that didn't suck).
Pro tip: always look up declension of your foreign nouns BEFORE you register
a domain name.
That could have been bad.

That moment when you realize this is not a complete sentence.
Go. Damn.

Leather Straps BBS? When will it interface with uncensored.
fetlife does not interface with uncensored. I think ucg only ever had one hardcore bdsm'er, and that was like 7 years ago.
