I wonder why gay nazism isn't a thing. I mean, if marxist socialism can turn gay, so can nazism.
What do you think "Queers For Palestine" is?

Official Version of The Star Spangled Banner
O! say can you see by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the Rockets' red glare, the Bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our Flag was still there;
O! say does that star-spangled Banner yet wave,
O'er the Land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines on the stream,
'Tis the star-spangled banner, O! long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
O! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand,
Between their lov'd home and the war's desolation,
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the Heav'n rescued land,
Praise the Power that hath made and preserv'd us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto—"In God is our Trust;"
And the star-spangled Banner in triumph shall wave,
O'er the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.
It only hurts countries that are unable to compete.
If we cant compete freely on the world stage, restricting trade is only a temporary band aid over something more fundamental that needs fixing. ( mostly pointing at government here, but also modern unions, liberal schools and a few others )

What if black holes are really the other side of ZPM's by some advanced culture in another universe, and they are slowly sucking our resources dry until our universe just dies?
Free trade absolutism hurts our country.
Like a lot of "pure libertarian" positions, it can't work unless a lot of other external controls are lifted. We can't have free trade when we are also crippled by forced unionization and regulatory hell holding us down.
Right. And why i was saying earlier ( somewhere ) that is the first thing we do. Fix our problems.
Free trade + honest competition = good.
But when we are being held back at the starting gate, its not really free trade.

Asimov already had the idea for one of his books.
is that where they got the idea for the ZPMs in stargate?

Sort of interesting to think back, when i had walls of books.. and magazines. 1000s of them. So many a lot had to live in ( properly cataloged ) boxes. Nearly all of them are gone now, but one of the empty selves sits an e-ink reader. It has all of those plus more.. in a single item thinner than a single magazine. ( i guess technically there are 2 on the shelf, one is color and novel sized, other is 10" for larger books.. + a 10" tablet, but same idea )
And its also a bit frustrating, they serve as a reminder that in the early 80s i created what was to become e-ink decades later. If i had only patented the idea.

Me. Just trying to think like the loonies.

I'm starting to proof-read it was getting so bad. Not there yet.. But i'm working on it. I promise. Would love it if we could edit posts to fix idiotic auto corrects like that after the fact. ( hint hint :) )
