If you use dry cat food what brand do you use?

That is what I use, but I might have switched type, such as indoor formula to mature formula.  After he leaves the litter box..... you don't want to be anywhere around it.

Oh, as far as which version, i believe its indoor.

I have heard our cats have same issue, however i cant smell so i dont know.  Not been able to for a good 30 years, other than once in a while, for a few minutes.   Last kidney stone i had ( and i suspect covid... before we knew of it here in the states ) my nose actually started working full time. It was awful, i dont know how you people live like that.  terrible odors, everywhere and everything. Was dreadfully overwhelming.  Was glad when it stopped. I wanted to rip my nose off my face.

Cat Chow or Meow Mix ... the cats don't seem to care and they don't drop dead after eating it.

So, male cats are prone to urinary tract infections that can cause blockages that can require an expensive surgery that basically turns them into a girl.

Cheap cat-food is a major cause of this condition.

We know because D00D almost because D00Dette.

Some 30 years ago I lost a stray i adopted due to those crystals that form in the bladder. I dont think that surgery was an option then. Id have taken it.  He went thru 2 surgical cleanings. i could not make him go thru the 3rd. It was a sad day.

In his case, even with 'good' food, he just kept creating them.

Yeah, it is evidently a real problem with male cats. Sorry - I can tell 30 years hasn't made it easier. Dude-cats are pretty awesome - but girl cats tend to be less likely to break your heart. They often live until you're wondering if they're going to outlast you.

If you used canned food, add water to the canned food and mix it together.  Doing so adds water to the cat's diet.   Canned cat food obviously has a higher moisture content than dry food, switch to canned food.

I usually used canned food for my cat, he likes dry food as a snack.  I usually put the dry food in one of those treat/exercise balls, he knocks it around to get the dry food out.

Yeah, this guy just looked at vaginas.

:)

I never understood that career choice. "I want my career to be looking at vaginas professionally, but only the WORST ones, in the worst shape!"

They are also physically destroyed on re-entry.

These folks are prime targets. Elected government officials mostly. ( Not all, but mostly )

We dont let people take their devices overseas.  We give them
burners with even more security than normal.

Yeah. No connectivity except through VPN, all physical ports disabled, no physical storage. There are places where if you are anyone even remotely important you can expect to be spied on.

Somehow I doubt that's what anyone is thinking when they decide to study gynecology.

Come up with *any* good reason why anyone *would* decide that *this* particular field was the medical profession they absolutely wanted to spend their lives doing?

I'll wait...

The only reason I can come up with is that you failed out of every other specialization, including dentistry. Taking that off the table as the #1 answer - what are the next answers on the board, Richard Dawson? :)

One easy one:  Family member dies from cervical cancer. Devotes life to prevent it in others.

Many medical professions are not 'fun'. People do it to help others and just deal with the 'ick' factor that goes along with it.

Yeah. I'm not altruistic like that. I don't think that can explain the choice to go into this field enough to explain the number of physicians in this specialization, at any rate.

And it isn't exactly the kind of thing you casually bring up with one. "So, Doc... what made you decide on THIS field?"

I dunno, it seems like there are a lot of easier ways to see pussy than to spend a lifetime as a gynecologist.

Say that again.

Being a gynecologist is actually the EASIEST way in the world to guarantee seeing pussy on a regular basis.

At least, in a profession where when it comes up you don't use a euphemism for what you do professionally and you'll get to drive a Mercedes or a Porsche.

There's the problem. If someone is a gynecologist and thinks of his patients' vaginas as "pussy" then we have a serious creepiness factor going on. If my wife's gynecologist experienced her nether regions the same way I do, I would go homicidal, no doubt about it. (Not happening though, because her gynecologist is female and straight.)
