Make it shoot cat treats?

hmmmm, I bet you can. It has a "flip" feature, a feature that rotates the drone 360° in any one predetermined
direction. If I put a treat on top of the drone, flipped it port side, the treat might drop. I can adjust the
speed of the flip so it drops it instead of launching it with a quick flip. The only thing I worry about is the
treat getting knocked off during flight or hitting the props as it falls. Time for a testing phase..

I have this mental image of you taping an open can of cat food to the drone, flying it over the cat's food bowl, slowly flipping the drone and 'dumping' the food into the cat dish.

Try THAT one for shits and giggles! <evil grin>

I figured out the spin speed is for its rotation in cardinal directions (N,S,E,W), it is not the flip speed.
I don't know if I put food on top if I could drop it, the flip happens very fast, almost a snap but I would
think it would have to be fast to work. It wouldn't drop the kitty treat it would shoot it across the room.
The flip is almost scary watching it, it waits a second, the rotors do their thing and the air currents make an
odd sound as it happens.

There are a few options for controlling it, Normal mode which uses your cell phones accelerometer/gyroscope or
in joystick mode using on-screen "joysticks" to control it. The joystick mode allows you to record video using
the cell phones camera while controlling the plane. Not easy, and not great video.

I still need a lot of practice, no wonder the cat is ascared.

The wheels
come off and I have not used them.

The neighbor's kid had a drone, light weight RC unit, bounced it off our roof and he lost it. He was looking
everywhere, I heard something but didn't think about it but saw him in the back yard. I went out and I just
happened to glance between the porch and the garage and saw something "odd" between the grass and the leaves. It
hit me he must be looking for whatever this is, when it landed it spun up enough leaves it covered the drone,
the grass was tall and it was in a small area. He would not have seen it walking by.

If you have access to a 3d printer you can print a cat food ball toy.

Instead of regular domestic cats, consider keeping Palm Civets as pets. Then you can make your own Kopi Luwak at home.

It seems that they are, at least the males, rather stinky. Territorial. They "spray" - stinky.

And all that cute.

And the very thought of making coffee from beans that have traversed the intestinal tract of anything....

Not me!

Instead of printing one of those things out I just removed the current treat toy from its holder and put some
food in it. When he is hungy he uses it, otherwise he glares at me because I put his food in it.

The Management just left me a big gift - random, large cat turd in the middle of the floor somewhere. Not sure where it *was* because now all of it is on my leg, and inside my pants (I was dressing.) Gaah.

Let us know if you start feeling compelled to be around cats more than you have in the past. I'm fascinated by that particular parasite.

What (meow) you mean (meow) more than all these cats (I'll feed you in a moment, I'm typing on the interwebs.)

Yeah, it's possible that I picked up T.Gondii as a kid, if I picked it up at all the damage was probably done a long time ago ;)

You're lucky. My Oliver (1978-1992) used to wait until I was asleep at night and then he would stick his long skinny snout (Siamese have those!) all the way into my shoe and puke!

Try that one in the morning, semi-awake, when you go to put on 'that shoe' to be met with.... YUCK!!

They can be vengeful--I suspect, but can't prove. Any idea why Oliva had it in for you? Or maybe he just couldn't deal with the stench. ;)

Oliver, not "Oliva."
He'd only do that when I forgot to do something in his routine.
It could be something as obvious as forgetting his treats.
Or something completely hidden in the World Of Cat to which us humans are oblivious.
