I laugh, but sometimes it's "laughing mirthlessly while squirming like an itchy bear cub."

Fuck the false equivalence that's been peddled all throughout history up to the present.

What false equivalence? The one that equates AOC with someone who doesn't deserve to be punched in the face over and over again until she stops talking?

Let's call it the Howard Zinn narrative of history, since that seems to encapsulate everything from false equivalence "DAE both sides just as bad" to the same old "anything to the right of Mao is Nazi" that's been pushed since at least the days of Woodrow Wilson.

I was a bit of a constitutionalist from the earliest days of my political awareness, even pre-libertarianism, which is probably why all the narrative pushers and their sycophants would respond, "Well, obviously you were ALWAYS right-wing."

Fuck moderate enlightened centrism.

"How did you know I was right-wing?"   "You never talk about politics."

(For some reason, my mother, with a doctorate degree, failed to find this joke amusing. This is part of the reason I no longer discuss politics with her.

I love that one.

So much hidden truth in it too.

Biden & Biden: <perform illegal and criminal activities involving the Ukraine>
Trump: "We should investigate this."
The media: "Ukraine is near Russia! Orange man bad! Impeach!"

Geez ... the rhetoric is getting even more stupid than usual. I'm wondering if the dems know there's a smoking gun against them in this Ukraine thing, and the sudden impeach-a-thon is a "hail mary pass" to try to keep the whole thing from collapsing.

As much as the left would like to see Trump impeached, all Real Americans want to see Hitlery and Osama behind bars (at a minimum).

Are you now, or have you ever been, a communist?

(Seriously, where's Joe McCarthy now that we really need him?)

One of my favorite P.J. O'Rourke quote:

“My grandmother said: 'Pat, I’m worried about you. Are you becoming a Democrat?’
“Grandma!” I said. “Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon are both fascist pigs. Of course I’m not a Democrat… I’m a communist!”
“ 'At least you’re not a Democrat,’ said Grandma.”

But this Ukraine thing will take him down, THIS time it's for real!

Is the impeachment hype going into hyperdrive because they know about a smoking gun hiding somewhere in the Ukraine investigation?

Democrats are a domestic terrorist group and should be treated as one.

Years ago we had a discussion about gay marriage and where it could lead.

We're now seeing men (who claim to be women) destroying womens sports.
We're seeing the government force women to wax men (who claim to be women).

We

're seeing children being given hormone blockers because they think they're something they're not.

Yes - I blame gay marriage. It opened the door to all sorts of weirdness.

And yes, I believe there's a certain sect of gay and transgendered culture that wants to destroy heterosexual society.

All in the name of tolerance.

A backlash is coming, and it's going to be ugly.

I don't think it has to do with gay marriage, although we are losing our minds. The latest... more inclusive feminine products.

Trump was the backlash to politically correct speech.  The man has no filter.

I agree with this. Democrats have been using identitary politics to divide the population in minority groups and tell themm all that white heterosexual men are the ones to blame for their problems. It had to blow up.

I think it has not blown up in full force yet.

I don't think homosexual marriage is to blame as much as the fact society is willing to accept the impossible, such as the fact you can be a woman without
a vagina... IMO that is a pathology, and while I don t think it is that bad of a pathology, the fact society is willing to pass it as normal or even cool is unsettling.

And meanwhile, Joe Biden continued with his story about Corn Pop: "After I took down Corn Pop and his fellow bad boys, Honeycomb, Apple Jack, and that dimwit, Special K, Corn Pop and I developed a mutual respect for each other and we became good friends. In fact, I briefly dated his sister, Sugar Smack, but that was before she began writing bad Chex and turning Trix. So, late one night Corn Pop and I walked downtown to grab sandwiches at Subway. It was about 2 a.m. and along the way we ran into Jussie Smollet, who smelled of bleach and had a rope around his neck, but we didn't think anything of it. Then, out of nowhere, Cesar Sayoc's white van covered in Trump stickers, which strangely didn't have a scratch on it, pulls up and Nick Sandmann and his Covington Catholic crew, all wearing red MAGA caps, jump out, and they began staring us down. I tell you, I was never so scared in my Life. It was scarier than finding yourself in a dark alley with Count Chocula and Franken Berry. Corn Pop was so scared that he dropped a load of Cocoa Puffs in his pants. I was about to whip out my cell phone and call for military backup since I had Captain Crunch and General Mills on speed-dial, but at that moment I said to myself, 'I'm a Biden, man, and I'm not going to be intimidated and bullied.' So I grabbed a drum from Nathan Phillips and walked over and beat it in Nick's face while chanting the war cry of Elizabeth Warren's tribe. Man, that was something! I look back on that night and thank my Lucky Charms that I'm alive today to tell you about it. No joke! Cerealously, that's the truth, on my name as a Biden."

The pendulum swings in both directions, Trump was the backlash against the left's actions, think how bad the left's answer to Trump will be.

Trump was the answer to Obama, who was the answer to Bush. Frankly I didn't see much difference between Obama and Bush, they were both communist socialist America-hating globalist scum. Bush did a *slightly* better job pretending to be a Christian, but that's about it.

Don't worry about it. A few minutes after President Cortez is sworn in on 2025-jan-20, God will say "all right, fuck this shit" and end the world.
