I'm certainly as surprised as Ragnar was. Nuff said.

And yet, not surprised. The trends have been clear.

I'm saddened but unsurprised by the vitriol spewed by many (though not, at least, the majority) of Clinton voters at not only Trump voters but anyone else who may have voted 3rd party, write-in or skipped that race. Just pure, unadulterated vitriol.

On the other hand, I'm saddened and frightened by the growing number of reports of outright shit coming from small (but possibly growing) members of the Trump camp who are spewing racist and other epithets at people, physically attacking and accosting and otherwise threatening various minorities (my fellow Jews included).

This is totally unacceptable and exactly why I chose to obtain my carry license and refuse to ever live, again, in a state where that right is not properly afforded me.

So they're out there having a tantrum. THEY ARE PROTESTING THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS.

Yes, they are protesting democray, but these people don't want democracy.  They want a world where they have no choice and they are unable to protest.

So I read that Goldman Sachs is excited about the Trump.

America than Hillary's.

"If" ?

They said he wouldn't run. He ran.
They said he wouldn't win any states in the primaries. He blazed forth.
They said he wouldn't get the nomination. He won it handily.
They (and you) said he wouldn't win. Say hello to President-Elect Trump.

Now you and others have the audacity to suggest that he won't be successful in office?

Dream on. Mr. Trump is a winner. He is a winning winner, and he wins yuuuuuuuuuge.
Get ready for the most successful president ever.

Quote of the day:

"Another key element here to keep in mind, for all the Never Trumpers, for all the wishy-washy RINO Republican types. They enjoy this power because one man decided to take on the illusion of this gigantic, unbeatable left."

Jamie Dimon said to be under consideration for the Treasury post.

You didn't like Goldman ties? Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. We've been suckered.

Dimon worked for Goldman Sachs as a summer job while in college. As far as I can tell that's his only "tie" to GS.

I'm going to assume that President-Elect Trump knows what he's doing.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

As IGnatius T Foobar once said, and this is a 100% actual quote, "If Donald Trump accomplishes 0.01×10-²³% of what he said he was going to accomplish he would be a better President than Obama.

Allan Lichtman the college professor that used a formula to predicted Trump's victory has another prediction, this one based on a gut feeling, Trump will be impeached.

That much ought to be obvious. The children of Hitler and Satan will not rest. They are already drafting the articles of impeachment. Trump takes office on Friday, January 20. Articles of impeachment will be submitted on Monday, January 23.

They have no case. They have no substance. They have no reason to impeach him other than the fact that they are the sworn enemies of the United States of America, they are 100% equivalent to Hitler, in fact they are more Hitlerian than Hitler himself. And they will not rest.

I did notice that Rosie O'Donnell hasn't left the US yet. But I'm going to give her some time. She moves slowly. For her to "haul ass" she has to make several trips.

In choosing Priebus, 44, Trump has tapped a Washington insider who is viewed as broadly acceptable by vast swaths of the Republican Party. Priebus was recommended by House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) and will be a bridge between the White House and the Republican-led Congress, as well as the heads of Cabinet agencies.

The choice signals Trump's willingness to work within the very establishment he assailed on the campaign trail

As long as he has Bush/Clinton/Hitler people on his team.

The market knows that Donald Lincoln Reagan Trump is going to make America (and the world) prosperous again!

Not even in office yet and he's already the greatest president EVAR!!!!!!!1

Meh, the stock market has risen and double in the time Obama has been President.
DJIA: Nov 03, 2008 9,326.04
DJIA: Nov 11, 2016   18,781.65
(Both figures are opening figures)

When Obama was elected the company I worked for was partnered with Bloomberg Television.  It was funny, every time the market raised they tied to some appointment he made or something he said. Every time the market fell it wasn't because of his appointment or comments. The two were not related but Bloomberg made it seem as if they were.

Generally when the market falls or collapses it's because of uncertainty.
A lot of people knew that Wednesday morning was one of the biggest buying opportunities of all time, and that's why the opportunity didn't last for long.
