Why is it when Mr. Foobar makes overly simplifications and
exaggerations you don't say a thing but when I speak the truth you
become very upset?

Probably because he knows that hyperbole is my style, and I tend to "reductio ad absurdum" (or more often, "reducto ad Hitlerium") to make a clear point.

He is a clown but he isn't half as corrupt as Hillary.

The "clown" is a caricature that CNN manufactured and then campaigned against for a year and a half. I didn't vote for the clown. I voted for Donald Trump.

Please don't speak for him, he has politicians and unions to speak for him. I am not sure why he doesn't ignore my foolish style instead of letting it upset him.

I will respond to this now although I know you are taking off the
required nine days to morn the loss of Castro.

No you got it all wrong, we are preparing for the resurrection of Castro. Like Easter, y'know.

No. Look, you can be cynical about it if you want to but these are people I really don't think should be dogcatcher. If you're going to accuse people of a certain lack of independent thought, you should look in the mirror - you've demonstrated yourself incapable of choosing between the two available options, over and over again...

Because IG is a lost cause. You weren't on this BBS 10 years ago when

all the shouting matches occurred.

When you've been online for this long, you eventually come to realize that at the end of the day IT'S JUST WORDS ON A SCREEN. 99% of the people online today have never known anything other than "social networking" and it could be decades, if ever, before they reach the level of zen that some of us have attained.

(Yes, we're better than them. I was online before Mark Zuckerberg was born.
Think about that.)

Part of the "it's just words on a screen" level of zen is coming to the realization that you can have totally incompatible opinions and still be friends, still hang out online, still happily exist in the universe together. If LS was in town I'd invite him to dinner, even though he's a communist socialist marxist America-hater who votes for people who are 100% Hitler Equivalent.

And even though the rhetoric was hotter in years past, most of us never personalized it.

People who support Donald Lincoln Reagan America Trump are far more enlightened and intelligent and just plain old better than people who don't and are therefore Hitler. But the Hitlers are fellow human beings and we love them too. (Again, except for Zuckerberg.)

No, I have made a choice not to participate in a system that is fucking me over.  The lesser of two evils is still evil.  I don't play into a system that goes against my best interests.

I see Trump is working with Goldman Sachs and getting Bush people in his administration...who would have thought?

Associating with Goldman is only bad when Ted Cruz does it. (And anyway, Goldman doesn't control Trump because he doesn't owe them anything -- see how that works?)

In other news, it seems that Trump has already completed negotiations with Carrier to keep 1,000 jobs in the United States that they had been preparing to send to Mexico. Not even in office yet and he's already Making America Great Again (tm). And he did it without spending any tax dollars. This is what a real leader looks like. Get ready to keep winning.

Thought for the day.

Lincoln, the greatest president of the 19th Century, brought liberty from slavery.

Reagan, the greatest president of the 20th Century, brought liberty from communism.

Trump, the greatest president of the 21st Century, will bring liberty from globalism.

This is the other part of the answer to zooer's question. I don't bother arguing with IG because the irrationality is brazenly on display. I mean the double standard is staring you in the face with this particular quote. You can't even tell when he's serious, so most discussion would be a waste of electrons.

At this point you'll never know. :) In any case, whether something is rational is irrelevant, because the word "reason" was long ago co-opted by some very irrational people. They're some of the same people who have very strict and narrow requirements regarding what you have to think if you want to be a "freethinker"

("Is that an oxymoron?" "No, just a regular moron.")

I want to point something out.

Anyone who does not have a deep desire to walk up to Jill Stein and beat her into a bloody pulp with a baseball bat is a communist socialist cunt who hates America as much as she does.
