Unfortunately only part of us remember, and are still angry.  A growing part of this country actually believe we deserved it.  And deserve more.

So much has changed, we were united that day, as a citizenry.  in another 10 years, many wont even be old enough to remember. ( must be how our grandparents felt about pearl harbor, as time went on )

It sounds like you are talking about a different September 11 event. 2001 perhaps?

That's the day that "some people did some thing" according to Ilhan "Sick Pig" Omar.

I would not make it in politics, my middle finger would be stuck in the 'on' position after a few days.

I still remember that day well.

i was pulling into the garage at work when the first tower got hit. Thinking "who in the hell cant see a freaking building in their face" then the second hit " crap, what the F is going on? " Then the 3rd announcement about the pentagon " oh shit.. "

I worked in a building where 2 floors were mostly middle eastern contractors ( IT stuff ). When the 3rd was announced, they all quietly shuffled out of the building. Didn't see them for another week. The lock-down of the campus started almost immediately ( i work for state government so they were all freaking out, for good reason since no one had a clue what was going on )

Was so odd going home that day. All the gas stations were empty ( everyone panicked and drained the stations dry ).. sky was empty except for a couple of military helicopters ( on west side of town is a major Midwest airport so there are always planes. . you never really notice until they are not there )  hardly any traffic..

Unsurprisingly, 2001-sep-11 has surpassed 1963-nov-22 as the first search result for "Where were you when you heard the news", the latter having been relegated to a boomer thing at this point. Like most people in the eastern US I was arriving at work and someone was breathlessly talking about the first airplane. As we ran around looking for a television and trying to get an antenna working, and the second airplane hit its target, someone said "oh ... we're at war."

On september 12, even our most left-wing co-worker was saying "all right, who are we going to nuke?"

Sadly, we HAVE forgotten, even to the point of allowing ultra-terrorists like Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib to infest the halls of congress.

On one hand, I hope so ... a resurgent USSR would bring back the global stability we had during the Cold War.

On the other hand, maybe not, because we need to get it more firmly into the minds of Americans that it is China who is our real enemy.

What is Dilbert? A dildo factory created by a guy named Albert, who thought that joining DILdo + alBERT for the name was clever?

Um no.

A long running super popular comic strip, making fun of the "9-5 office life" mostly.

Its not just a US thing, i'm sort of surprised you have not heard of it.

I regularly listen to Scott Adams (the creator of Dilbert) podcast. He is quite multitalented and has good insight but the mainstream began hating him when he started saying good things about President Trump (PBUH).

Recently he came out against ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance principles -- basically all of the left-wing nonsense rolled into a sort of social credit score for corporations and institutions). He has sort of become the voice of the opposition to ESG. There was a week of strips demonstrating how ridiculous the whole thing is.

Naturally, the communist socialist left came out and REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I think ESG is also being applied to private citizens, not just companies. Or at least will soon: " that house you want, it uses too much power to keep cool, sorry, no loan for you". "loan on a fossil fuel car? lol, get out of my office"

Well yes, it's the latest attempt by the Usual Bad People to install a social credit system identical to the one operated by their Chinese masters.
