For the first few months around here, it felt more like the 80s. .Back before the big push around here to pave every tree and farm in sight, and over run us with people. When it was a nice area to live in.. "Progress" they call it.  None of us call it that.

You could drive around and not have to worry about being hit by idiots, or endless lines at the ( too many ) stop lights. Go to the grocery get your stuff and leave.. not fight with crowds in your way.  Could walk to the park and not hear endless tires on the 'main' road.

Of course all the mom-pop stores are long gone, and you only saw buildings as you drive around instead of trees and crops, but it was still nice to at least remember sort of what it was like.

Now that we are living in the age of social distancing, a lot of larger stores have adopted "bank style" checkout, where a single queue is formed for ALL the registers. When a register opens, the next customer from the queue goes to it.

(Yes I know, in the US you're supposed to call it a "line" but I like "queue" better.)

I like this. I like it a lot. I've been saying pretty much forever that this ought to be the way all larger stores do their checkout. I hope it remains in place.

It is more efficient, but not all stores are built for it.  You end up with a line (!) snaking thru the store and impeding shopping.

Was out and about yesterday to visit my mother.  Even more destruction of farmland and fields. Every time i leave the house it pisses me off more and more.  I need to move.

( i guess this is more of a rant than anything else )

5 lane "Stroad's" are not progress, same as endless parking lots and stop lights.

That misses the point. Around here, "die in a car fire" is a warm and sincere greeting. We don't actually want them to die in a car fire.

Hi there

I installed Citadel today.

My group is weak in English. Requires installing the native language, in my case Polish.

Is this possible?

if so, how to do it?
