Sat May 02 2020 10:58:09 EDT from IGnatius T Foobar @ Uncensored Subject: Re: Citadel 68k NetworkingYup. I remember reading that exact section of the docs many years ago. So if you want to import messages using MSGADD, you probably have to write a program to translate messages into that format. My suggestion is that you download messages from a system like Uncensored using RSS rather than trying to scrape the readable messages, because then you can import other RSS feeds as well (plus it's designed for computer-to-computer connections, of course).
To go in the other direction, you'll need to use MSGOUT and translate that format *to* RSS, and have the operator of the other system (such as me) pull that feed from somewhere.
By the way ... the best way for you to see the format first-hand would be for you to enter a few messages into your system, export them with MSGOUT, and then open the resulting file in a hex editor.Excellent! I hadn't thought of doing it backward for testing purpose. Thanx!
Yes, on the Amiga, there are REXX scripts that can be used like that.
Thanks again!
The file I was able to export contains a message I'd intended for testing purposes is Nodes.add.
Nodes.out is what I'd attempted to add to my BBS, and Nodes.tst was my 1st attempt.
Since the export (MSGOUT) worked, but the import attempts (MSGADD) failed, I'm at a loss without manually typing, and that's what I want to avoid.
Any suggestions? Feel free to Mail me or email to ddrandale@yahoo.com

One of the failed files has a size of 260884 byte.
The successful file here on uncensored has a size of 219544 bytes.
You might try attaching a text file, then take a look at the "corruption" to see if it offers any clues..

Thanks for the suggestion.
I created a small file, containing this text:
This is a text file created by the standard windows text editor.
It is not a large file, but i'm sure it will be corrupted once it's sent.
So let's see what will happen to it.
And this was what was received in the attachment (i'm not sure it will show exactly as i received due to the corruption)
Hmm seems there's more to it, as the font size has changed after copy / paste, and indentation was added:
This is a text file created by the standard windowsüÑ•áЕ‘¥Ñ½È¸4)%Х̹½Ð„±…É”™¥±”°‰ÕФ´ÍÕÉ—ò—Bv–ÆÂ&R6÷''WFVBöæ6R—Bw26VçBàРХ6òÆWBw2?ÙYHÚ]Ú[\[ˆÈ]ƒBþ¾
You might try a few more text uploads with various strings and see if there is any consistency with the char length.
You might try creating some new files with a text editor and see how they look after a reboot.
I predict it is going to be failing Chink SD card writes, rather than a problem with Citadel.
Or at least, replacing the Chink SD card would be my first approach, since that's a more widely known problem.
Who knows all the various ways they fail? It might not be a total failure, just not writing properly.
Sometimes you can edit and save a file, it looks okay if you cat it out, but shows garbage after rebooting.

Change the view of this room to Mail Folder (using the "View as:" drop down in the upper right corner of the page) to reveal a search box.
Hello,
Do you still support the outlook connector? Is there something similar that I could use besides the imap to go with Calendar, notes, tasks on a similar client?
I like the app, and it runs very well on a pi4. Any input is appreciated.
thanks
JB

Unfortunately the company that made the Outlook connector went out of business.
Lol, that doesn't work either. The search box appears, but it appears to be disabled. Can't get the cursor into it.

You're right!
I'd not actually tried the search box before suggesting it to you.
Yeah, the search bar does not work for me either.

Hello!
How to use calendar, contacts and task in Thunderbird?
SyncKolab is inconpatible with Thunderbird

Subject: Easy Install update blew out my room aliases..
My install was pretty old, not sure the version. It appears mail.aliases is no longer parsed.
I have added/removed rooms, and added test rooms, but " Alternative public email addresses pointing to this room" has no effect.
I keep getting back, "invalid recipient' when I try to send. Same message through smtp, or webcit.
I even tried checking through the api, but didn't see a way to get or set any alias fields.
Anybody have anything to try?

Using this command updates the directory:
sendcommand IGAB
And for easy recall, I made a small script with its description.
do_sendcommandIGAB.sh
#!/bin/bash
#200 em Citadel server ADMIN CONNECTION ready.
#IGAB
#200 Directory has been rebuilt.
#sendcommand: processing ended.
sendcommand IGAB
