https://citadel.org/download.html

https://citadel.org/easyinstall.html

# wget http://easyinstall.citadel.org/citadel-1623018599-x86_64.appimage

hacerlo ejecutable
# chmod +x citadel-1623018599-x86_64.appimage

# ./citadel-1620778956-x86_64.appimage
Unexpected command:
citadel-1620778956-x86_64.appimage: usage: citadel-1620778956-x86_64.appimage [-h data_directory] [-p http_port] [-s https_port] command
command must be one of: run, test, install, database_cleanup, migrate

Recomendaciones adicionales:
Instalar y configurar el antivirus (clamav), spamassassin, RBL hosts (zen.spamhaus.org)
Opcionalmente instalar y configurar UFW.

Subject: Appimages - try 2

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Thought id try the appimages again today.

x86 is working like i expect, from a 'user' view, on a quick install of Devuan 4/alpha. Before i start back with ARM 32 ( since 64 just isn't going to work ), i assume at the least it should work with latest 32bit Raspbian out of the box? right? That is what i had the other day when it kept crashing and restarting.  ( after i tried it on Armbian 10/11 on the BPI with same results once i fixed the missing libraries )

Not really done any troubleshooting with appimages before, i assume its got a log or something i can grab?

I have installed citadel but during the install process it did not prompt to put in a password for user admin or citadel. Is there a default password or a way to change them ?

Wed Jun 02 2021 13:24:18 EDT from cyberlaw Subject: IP Based Relaying thru Citadel

I've had to abandon my HMAIL server (Windows XP PRO issues activating)

I have installed a Debian system with Citadel. I am looking to do some relaying of email from specific IP addresses from old devices that cannot handle auth.

Is it possible thru Citadel and can it be done via the web manager? Or will it have to be done via CLI?

Time to dump Citadel and move on to something else.... no support here!

You should run Microsoft Exchange.  They'll give you as much support as you're willing to pay for.

Idiot.

Auto-purger settings can be set at the global level (both for public rooms *and* mail folders), at the floor level, and at the user level. You'll have to check all three.

Subject: no header in received emails

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I started to receive emails without headers. I can see them arrived in webcit but not in e.g. thunderbird.

The contents of them is like:

ERROR:
Thu Jan 01 1970 02:00:00 EET from <>

Normally received emails have four digit header numbers like "https://sepegp.fi:4433/msgheaders/2268"

Emails without headers have "https://sepegp.fi:4433/msgheaders/778120845" with nine digits.

Sending emails seems to be ok.

This behavior began 22.6 and I have tried bootings, citadel upgrades, database_cleanups but no help.

So, what's up doc?

My server receives many of those and I don't see any problem, the mail is delivered to the mailbox that receives it.

By example:

Yeah, I misread your problem.

For me those numbers "/2268" are the internal identifier of each mail; I assume IG knows the mechanism of creation and if they are reused.

I understand that it is private information, but you do not specify if you know the sender(s) of those emails without subject or if they are sent from some special service or application of your own (They may even be malformed).
You also do not indicate which browser and system you use to view your webcit emails. I recommend you to try from several browsers.

And I would recommend you to check your mail from the citadel client (personally, I don't know how to use it completely). This is where I suspect the digits of the problematic email are useful (?).

Based on the "FI" country code of your samples. I can only hope that there is no misconfiguration due to some page code in your systems.

I started to receive emails without headers. I can see them arrived
in webcit but not in e.g. thunderbird.

Does this only occur for messages received over the Internet, or does it also occur for messages generated locally (from a local user to another user, for example by sending directly out of WebCit) ? And do locally generated messages have the nine digit message numbers as well?

Message numbers are sequential and are not reused, so if you suddenly jumped from 2268 to 778120845 there is something corrupt in your database and you might consider restoring from a backup taken before that happened.
