He likens Facebook to the creep under the bridge spying on you and selling all of your personal information to other creeps under other bridges.

Someone last night was trying to explain a funny picture they saw to the rest of us. I had my phone with me and
said I would look it up and Google's image search turned up no results with the important search words. The guy
kept saying, "goto my facebook page" which I couldn't find but was able to his son's page. I try to explain
that I don't have a facebook account so I couldn't see the picture without logging in.

I wonder if facebook or google blocks the googlebots from indexing anything beyond the first pages of facebook.

Well, as I missed the cut-off date, I might just make my FB page an evil-doers entry to the gates of hell.

Thinks of some plan to plunder FB for everyone without an account .....  Lots of potential mischief could be possible her me-thinks.

Web front end portal to FB that gives anybody without an account the ability to peek beyond the veil of that silo of feces.  Heck, might just do it as a Gopher site to make it more interesting.  Now, what do we use to search, Archie, Veronica, Veronica II?

I love technology :-)

Certainly -- it's pretty obvious that he's one of those people that talks libertarian but strays from those principles when he feels he's onto something important. A true libertarian would simply say "facebook, you suck, and the market will punish you for it" (unless facebook is being propped up by either government intervention or illegal anticompetitive tactics on its own part -- which, as much as I hate facebook and want it to die painfully, I don't see either of those happening yet).

Honestly I think Facebook has already peaked. The damage it did to the user base of thousands of smaller community sites like this one cannot easily be undone but I don't think facebook is going to get much bigger than it is now.
Teenagers are leaving because the site is full of old people; anyone who even remotely cares about privacy is getting pissed off; even casual users are getting tired of how intrusive and in-your-face the whole thing is.

(Oh, and also, since I'm no longer there trolling, it's not even remotely interesting...)
