The dictionary attack is being conducted using SMTP AUTH, suggesting that said nitwit intends to use any harvested accounts as a means to send assloads of spam out through my server. They're going to be disappointed when they find out that the vast majority of accounts on this server, all but a handful, don't have permission to send Internet email.

Savor the irony that if they took the extra few seconds to point a web browser at the same address they'd see that you can create a free account. And they'd quickly figure out that Internet email isn't permitted.

This room has long outlived the ability to actually use .WH and .WR...

The display of room and host names was a feature I copied from DaveCode, which is now long gone along with most of its successors. I wish they had just collaborated with us. The ability to override what gets displayed in those spaces was a suggestion from someone here.

I've removed that because I am planning to add the ability to just enter a status message.

I'd love to know who "IGnatius Z Foolbear" is. I had always assumed it was just one of the regular users being silly, but this person just seems to keep logging in and lurking (which is of course welcome) and is connected from an IP address in Russia.

Who are you, Z? Friend or foe? Frood or troll? What's the weather like in Russia?
