Muhammed. Yes. Muslim boy. But he was an Israeli citizen, so he's probably an infidel as far as they're concerned.

As far as we're concerned, they killed a citizen and a child. period.

yes. and I guess this sad news sends out (world wide heard) an historically unparalelled message: The israeli state cares for its citizens regardles of Muslim or Jew.

There's been backlash from (Jewish) citizens that the government has not done enough to comfort/console the family.

Moreover, there's been a lot of criticism that none of the parliament members who are Arab went to the funeral (The Jewish ones may have had concerns for their personal safety, sadly, but there are 12 members of the Knesset who would have no such concern, and didn't attend anyway.)

triL, if that father went back to his country and started telling people how good some Jewish guy was, what, realistically, do you think will happen? Because I imagine he would be killed for speaking like that.

Israel is his country - for all we know, the father was born here, too.

The country is reeling from the news that the bodies of the kidnapped boys were found.

The feeling is palpable. The radio is playing quiet music. The news reports are more subdued. My Facebook feed is filled with funeral details (the boys will be buried in the cemetery in Modiin, my hometown), pictures of the boys, and political statements from the whole spectrum on how best to prevent situations like this in the future.

Three boys, 19, 16, and 16 are gone. They are gone because they were three Jewish boys living in the only Jewish country in the world.

One was an American citizen.

Obama is urging restraint. How can he urge restraint when an American citizen is murdered on his way home from school?

Obama is urging restraint because the murdered boys are not named "Trayvon"

It's been clear for a long time whose side he is on.

Obama is the same mindless fool that completely overlooked so much blatantly evil in his own "administration" that he didn't even have to think twice about it (assuming he thought once about it; assuming he ever thinks).

Obama would just as soon Israel would simply go away.

He is an anti-semite through and through. A hater of the Jews to rival the likes of Adof Hitler - to an absolutely frightening degree. As I type this there is a government-subcontracted firm ordering reporters not to report on most of the "goins-on" at the US/Mexican border. The men from this firm, the ones doing the "dirty work on the ground" - call themselves "Brown Shirts." You **cannot** make this stuff up!

General Prediction Time:

Between now and January 2017 there will be a terrorist incident in the United States of sufficient severity and impact that Obama will declare Martial Law and suspend the Constitution.

[cf; Reichstag Fire]

Shortly after that, he will call the congress to session having rigged things so that he will get the 2016 elections "suspended."

As I've been saying to folks for quite some time - go read your history.

Germany 1933
United States 2014-2016

The **only** thing that will make this fail is that Obama has not succeeded in doing the one thing Hitler *did* -- we still have our guns!

True, but it would be very difficult to pin *our* "Reichstag Fire" on republicans, considering which side of the aisle thinks jihadists are a-ok.

a-ok.

Not "republicans" perhaps but...

1) pro-lifers. or
2) anti-"amnesty" demonstrators. or
3) anti-IRS demonstrations. or
....you get the idea.

Particularly #2. Civil unrest near the Mexican border could easily be fomented by administration lackeys. A large "mess" could easily be incited, blaming "those right-wingers." Make it sufficiently large; make it in - say - late spring of 2016 (near the end of the primaries but before the conventions) - or even better, AT one or both of the conventions - and you'd have their "reason." Remember Chicago 1968? That, in today's Obamanation climate, would be the ideal sort of thing to serve as "never let a good crisis go to waste."

This is how they think.
And if left to their own devices, this is what they will do.

Regardless, it will fail. The civilian population of the US is armed, unlike the civilian population of Germany in 1933. That was Hitler's advantage. And if it comes to that, it will be Obama's downfall.

Another advantage Hitler enjoyed in 1933 was his **immense** popularity in Germany.

Obama is not in anywhere near that position today.

The Constitution of the United States is a wonderful document.
And remember, the Second Amendment is the *warranty* in case the First Amendment ever breaks.

Please continue the bombing. Please continue it a lot. Please do not stop the bombing until all of the terrorists are gone.

It might be entertaining if a stray bomb landed in Iran (who helped provide bombs for them) and strategic places in Egypt (namely, the Muslim Brotherhood, who relaxed the borders to make it possible to transfer bombs, until they were removed by the Egyptian military).

But, really, Hamas must be absolutely idiotic to have started bombing Israel.

And to have accepted bombs from 'friendly' places.

I don't think the Palestinians have quite figured out that nobody, and I mean it seems like absolutely *nobody* likes them. Not even the Iranians.
The Iranians very likely see them as a great way to engage in a proxy war with Israel without having to deal with any of the fallout. Let Palestine earn all the bombings and bloodshed while Iran keeps their hands clean.

It's kind of vile, really, and Hamas is idiotic enough to have fallen for it.
