After reading some of them, it was kind of clear which word they meant.

Truth be told, I was curious if anyone *intentionally* wrote such a poem, and searched for 'violents are blue' explicitely. I was disappointed with the results, but surprised at how many of them I could find.

My daughter's Instagram handle was, for some number of months, "Violet Sky Kitten" ... I think she changed it because I kept calling her "Violent Sky Kitten"

Yes, that's a bit of a problem.  On the other hand, the drama level on Instagram is infinitesimal compared to F*c*book proper.

I think it's fascinating that Instagram makes suggestions of people I should connect with "because we are friends on F*c*book" -- and they're legit suggestions of people I know, even though I don't have a F*c*book account.

I'm at my daughter's school today, giving blood at a blood drive they are running. It's with New York Blood, and I normally give with Red Cross, but this is for the school :)

There is a kid running around here dressed as a human-sized drop of blood.
As someone with costume character experience and trained by one of the best people in the business, this bothers me in several ways...

1. Serious costume character players would never dress as an inanimate object.
1a. Is a drop of blood technically an inanimate object? It counts as "life" but it's not sentient. For example, dressing as a Christmas tree is not considered legit.
2. She's talking. Costume characters DO NOT TALK. If you have something to say, you say it in the dressing room.
3. Her human feet and ankles are visible. This is a no no. There's got to be another piece to this costome.

I do know about the rules, I didn't know there were ranked professional trainers.

I don't think there is a large pool of mascot trainers.

Yes, there is obviously some amount of overlap between the pro and semi-pro mascot/costumecharacter industry and the furry community.

Yep, find a local furry group (they're literally everywhere, and often volunteer for events or parades), and ask for advice on acting, costuming, etc. Lots of resources. Note: SOME furries DO talk, but it's often with a disguised voice intended to match the character.
