Yes i do, but i dont think its nearly as effective as it is today.  Hell, most of them could just fly to a private island in a heartbeat and avoid it totally.

"I'm doing alright because I've got a nice house and objects... but I realize now that my mind has been colonized by the host mentality of my time."
I mean, he is pretentious about it... he is Russell Brand - but he is saying a lot of shit that makes it sound like he is ACTUALLY nearly woke. I am sure his cognitive biases and cognitive dissonance will still keep him leaning to the wrong end of the spectrum for ultimate solutions - but... I suppose we can hope that maybe he'll have an ACTUAL awakening. It would be a start. I think Billy Corgan has been there for a while.

No one should take credit for that colossal waste of money.

The wall was the second best available option.

I'd be happy to go with the first best option, if anyone was actually willing to do it. The best thing would be to actually defend the border -- to unabashedly spray machine gun fire at anyone attempting to cross. Bonus points for spraying machine gun fire at anyone who questions that policy.

While i agree with the concept, there is sooo much border its not practical to man every foot of it.    So a wall is needed.   But adding the risk of sudden death by shuffling snipers around at random does not hurt .

Mine fields, timed neutron blasts, viscious wild animals, there are plenty of ways to make the wetback zone lethal.

Agreed.

I was just in "don't offend the snowflakes" mode.

I'm fine with a 2 mile wide pit of sulfuric acid filled in a trench between here and there. Whatever it takes to get the idea, "not unless we want you here," across.

And there is *nothing* "unAmerican" with that idea.

You know where the term "Wetback" originated from, right?

A farm supervisor was watching all the migrant workers out in the fields, bent over, picking strawberries or tomatoes or... whatever and said,

"Will you look at all them wet backs..."

I think it is almost surely a true story - not just an entertaining anecdote.

I always thought it came from so many of them coming across the RioGrande to get here..

*shrug*  i wasn't around back then to have heard it first person anyway.

I see your machine gun fire and rise up to "conquer mexico and establish a new border at Guatemala, which is shorter and more easy to defend with moar-dakka"

You could imitate the South Koreans and have prowling robots loaded up with rockets and machineguns.

They have a "safe" and only get to shoot at stuff when somebody in a control room switches them to killer mode. Othserwise they just prowl. A bit of a bummer :)

Eventually it will be autonomous, and we will fight wars by proxy. Let the robots kill each other instead.

And Zoe will not approve.

At that point, why not have a no-holds barred olympics and whoever can spend the most cash to win before the other one taps out wins?

I think we're in a hot war right now - but it is economic and psychological. And we're losing. We don't know how to fight this kind of war.

Now... eventually - like a anyone committed to their position so strongly then backed into a corner - it might escalate into a violent response... but with our current enemy, if we're provoked to rage and anger as a response against them - everyone loses.

But our current enemy is playing such a smart game - that they may have already figured out how to work that... it is a classic scenario - and I've really used it in my career effectively against disagreeable peers. It is basically a form of gaslighting.

IF you know your enemy is going to react violently, and you've determined the point in time, and the violent response that they will react with...

You goad them into doing that - but you've taken steps so that you'll sustain no or very minor damage from their assault.

Then you look at everyone else and go, "SEE! I told you they were irrational and hostile and dangerous and unstable! They can't be trusted. Everything I've said is clearly true, and everything they've said are lies. It is time for the rest of us to take action against this threat as a group... because what they just tried with me, they will surely try with you!"

The Chinese think a *lot* about scenarios like these. How they can win on perception and attitude while *being* the bigger douchebag and making it look like their opponent is the one behaving badly.

I think it is another place where we think there is a moral line that we have to abide by - but we're going to lose if we don't stoop to the tactics of our enemy. Like not hiring H1B Visa workers when all of your competitors are hiring them in droves and thinking that the "American Made" sticker is going to win sales at Walmart and Amazon.

True. The whole idea of having your two robot armies fight until one side is out of robots seems silly though. Eventually, you're going to get to the point where there is nothing left but PEOPLE to fight - and they will.

or, they release a virus with a known % death rate......

China is at war with us. And they've installed enough operatives in our government and corporations to convince most people here that we are not at war with them.

China operates MS-13 and the Democrat Party. They need to be smoked out.

The problem is that our left leaning readers here see us say things like this and shake their heads and quietly mark as as "lunatic fringe-right-wing nutjobs."

"China is benevolent. Biden and CNN told me so. You're the real danger to the unity of the people's evolution to a global shared consciousness..."
