So... from a legal jurisprudence perspective - here is what I *think* the multiple charges were done for:
They wanted to ensure they would get him for SOMETHING... and each charge has to be appealed separately. It is spreading your bets.
If the jury didn't find for the more serious charges, they still might find for one of the lesser charges - and if it goes to appeal, he might dodge the first or second charge on some technicality, but this way they have 3 shots at getting him.
It doesn't look *exactly* like justice...
I'm surprised that they got him on 2nd degree murder.
But there are a LOT of politicians on the Left actively saying things to try and get this guy let off on appeal - so, this thing is far from over yet.

Giuliani could have run on his name alone, I think associating with Trump is a bad idea.
Depends on who hes running with/for if association is bad or good. If hes running for the 'trump party', perhaps with Jr, ts a shoe-in for that group.
And if T directly endorses or not will help/hurt if he runs on his own.
