It's still IRC days for at least three of us.

not that it matters, just an interesting observation earlier... its missing the T... 

I thought you could get to clear-net IRC via TOR.  I could easily be wrong, its been years since i heard that.   Perhaps it was just one server or something that was linked, not a general way to access.

When i first messed with i2p there were a couple of "out" gateways.  So it is possible technically, but ya.. not common. 

There was also a couple  of incoming gateways too. Not sure how much id trust them, but it did exist.

Does it link up to the open-net irc network? or is it isolated ?

I'm on irc2p (along with darknetuser and Ig, which is why I said at least three of us), and libera via tor (reluctantly because it's run by and saturated with woke crazies)

That is too bad. I could see a use case for people to enter via i2p but still be linked to the clear irc network.

irc2p is only accessible via i2p. libera is clearnet.

Wheeeeeeee!! 4.8 magnitude earthquake here in Uncensoredland. The epicenter is reported to be somewhere in northern New Jersey. Unfortunately NYC is still standing :)

Guy down the street has a boat. It was starting to rain. he was out there frantically trying to cover it.

Town dropped off a 3rd porta potty at the park in preparations for the eclipse.  :)   Spare no expense!    I hear some towns around here are closing intersections.. making some roads one way.. all the hotels in the county are booked..  Estimated 150k people in our country alone are coming. We are not really setup for this out here.

Even the big city up north of us is panicking since they are the "cross roads of america" and the major traffic hub of the Midwest. 

Going to be a mess.

I am not suspecting there are any high-level bad actors at work this time.  Sure, you'll get all the usual scammers wherever there are people gathering, maybe some petty crime, but I don't think there's anything big going on.

Big concerns here are just the obvious safety ones.  Don't look at the Sun without the special glasses, don't be on the roads when all the other drivers are looking up at the sky, don't put yourself in a place where you can be victimized by petty crime (pickpockets etc).

I'm looking forward to the eclipse and praying for a clear sky.

Where i live my main concerns:

Traffic.  Will be grid lock

Trash. People are pigs

Parking.. Going to put out a rope in my yard to keep people out
