I think we should dump huge piles of used kitty litter on the people responsible for these designs.

The design of what?

Okay, you must mean the design of the litter box.

I took a SteriliteĀ® Storage Tote cut a walkway on one side near a corner and filled it with lots of litter. I
put it near the corner because I think it has less chance of being pushed out at the corner than it would if it
was in the center. My cat likes to dig holes and cover his waste, the large bin makes it deep enough for him to
dig. The high side walls prevent him from going over the edge.

Ahhh, my cat is slightly braver, steped on the door frame, then tried to step on the porch but sank, then said
"nope" He did make it about six feet out once but he became confused as he tried to shake all four paws at
once.

Catlateral Damage is a first-person destructive cat simulator where you play as a cat on a rampage, knocking as
much of your owner's stuff onto the ground as possible. It's a highly original, experimental concept that was
born out of a game jam. Oh, and it's based on a real-life mischievous cat, Nippy!

I must have a really great cat.

A while back somebody recommended a pine based kitty litter. Rather than scroll through the messages on the text
client looking for the original message can the person please post the name of their pine based kitty litter
again?

About the time of the posting I had found a newspaper kitty liter. It was small granules, not the pellet style.
It was nice because there was no dust. The bad part was the cat tracked it throughout the house, and if you
didn't clean the litter box every day you could smell the ammonia... but hey, no dust. I was worried about
the cat associating the pine kitty litter with a pine sented Christmas tree.

Over the past year or so I noticed that Walmart stopped selling it, then Wegman's didn't sell it, and the Pet
Plus stopped selling it but I could special order it. The other day I was told it is being discontinued so I
need to make plans for another brand.

It looks like pine is the way to go.

I went through the thread, and there is message from me referencing the message about cat litter in Dec 2013 but
could not find the original message. It must be from a different thread.

Anyway, If someone uses pine cat litter, please let me know the brand. I remember the person said it worked
well.

I think it was Feline Pine, and it is hard to find the clumping version.

My cat has a jealous streak. Long story but this cat and I have known each other for ten years. It wasn't
originally my cat but became my cat. Several years ago the cat and my sister's dog met, they learned to
tolerate each other. There was one time when I was petting the cat and the dog was whining in the other room
about it. Because the dog was in the other room I didn't related the two and that the dog was jealous that I
was paying attention to the cat and not the dog. That dog passed away and she now has a new puppy. The new
puppy is very shy but it is getting used to being around people. When my sister visits she will bring the dog
with her and I am fine with the dog.

I often get on the floor with my cat and pet/scratch it to give it some attention. The dog sees this and knows
it is non-threatening and just wants to come over and share the love. My cat goes nuts as the
dog walks over.
It starts this funny mewing, it has hissed at the dog but not in this situation. This is a meow and staring the
dog down. It will then chase the already timid dog away. The cat doesn't want the dog coming between us. I find
it funny pets get jealous.

Heh - every cat I've known has had that jealous streak. Very much human-like.

It's better than having a cat who is aloof and doesn't want to be bothered with you.

yeah. L's aunt's daughter's new kitten turned out rather standoffish now that he's no longer a kitten. Guess he wasn't socialized enough during the formative weeks. Too bad.

Good strategy is to adopt adult cats that are known to be friendly.

Raising kittens to be social is a full-time job - they need to be handled by a variety of people, for hours a day, before they're too old.
