They messed up once and I wasn't sure they did the work they said they were
going to do the second time.

Yeah, cat mechanics are almost bad as car mechanics.

WTF?

Suddenly the Sanrio people have decided that Hello Kitty is not a cat?

That's about as believable as the nonsense about Pluto not being a planet.

If Hello Kitty is a little girl, she has some serious facial problems. She's never going to find a guy to date. Or, it'll be a very special person who doesn't mind women with facial hair.

Never find a guy to date? There are a whole lot of guys (and a few ladies too) who are really into pussy.

I had a coupon for a free toy (up to $5) because kitty birfday so I used
the coupon as five dollars off a "Turbo Treat Ball"
to make the cat work at his treats.... BECAUSE I AM SO MEAN.

http://www.wag.com/cat/p/bergan-turbo-treat-ball-red-817117

I only put three or four treats in a day and I sealed one of the holes so
he has to work at getting it out. At least he
does something besides sleep and lick my scalp.

Finally got around to ordering this for the monster. I imagine it will probably be a hit, as it involves food...

My cat continues to get treats out of it. He figured out how it works he just has to do it. I don't think he
is happy about it but at least he has to work for it.

Yup. You're mean.
Cats are a Gift.
You should treat them as such.

Hmm... if you're referring to the puzzle feeders, treat dispensers etc, I found the perspectives expressed in the book _Cat Sense_ fairly compelling... animal welfare experts seem to all agree on this one. The same techinique is used in zoos to keep captive cats happy and engaged.

Anyway, our cat apparently has a low IQ, she hasn't figured out the feeder yet.

(But I only set it up for the first time last night. I left a good helping of kibble in it this morning, we'll see she's managed to get into it by the time I'm home.)

My guess is that she will do what my cat does.
She'll give up in complete cat-frustration and just rip the thing apart.
You'll find kibble all over the room when you get home. <evil meow!>

We also have one of those window bird feeders just to drive the cat nuts. It is funny he has a place to sit in
front of that window but when he watches the birds he does it from floor level.... hiding so they don't see him.

haha, no we feed our birds in front of the dining room window, so we can watch them eating while eating.

The cat sits on the window sil and gets mad.

Heh. The cat eventually *will* get even.
That's what cats do.
It's in the Job Description for "cat."
And you will be the one on the "receiving end" of that infamous moment when the cat will shout...
Mein ist die Rache!
midst thunderous brass chords from the orchestra! <Wagnerian cat here!.

The monster has the treat-ball all figured out now. Putting her paw on top and just spinning it.

Yup. I have said before but my cat was an outdoor cat until he came down with FIV. He always had a gravity fed
dry food dispenser. After he became an indoor cat he put on weight so we had to take away the gravity fed dish
and give him wet food or limit his dry food. He loves his dry food, after catching and eating something as an
outdoor cat he would come in for some kibble. It was never a problem before but now if I go away for a few days
I like to put a few days worth of food in the gravity fed dispenser,t he seems to eat it all very quickly. He
used to eat a little and come back later, not any more. I thought about getting him a timed dispenser but
every review I read on various models say that their cat figured out how to get food out of the dispenser before
the timer automatically dispenses it.

Cats are clever and smart.
