I would like to see a state electoral college based on counties for NY... and since Cuomo is going to pay for college we can sneak it in with that bill.

How about we just summarily execute Cuomohitler for high crimes against humanity?
The bastard is single-handedly shutting down Indian Point. He's going to turn the whole damn state into Shoreham/LILCO.

OMG ... President Awesome just *whipped* a CNN "reporter" at his press conference.

"I'm not giving you a question because you are fake news." Meanwhile, whatever mini-hitler CNN sent to cover the presser wouldn't shut up, wouldn't back down, and wouldn't stop being abusive. He melted down like the pathetic little bitch that he is. President Awesome didn't cave in, didn't let him give a question, and made sure that he took the next question from someone else.

BEST. PRESIDENT. EVER.

Hint:  It is all fake news.

News is entertainment to sell advertising, NOTHING more.

If you don't read a newspaper* you are uninformed.
If you do read a newspaper* you are misinformed.

*This applies to any media.

That's one of the reasons I pulled up a live feed of the press conference instead of reading anyone's "report" on it. One of the great things about live streaming (and Twitter, to a certain extent) is that the large "news" organizations are losing their ability to be gatekeepers of what we know and learn about.

As I've said before ... President Trump should bring back "fireside chats."
Live streamed directly to the people. If big media wants to air them, they can pick up the same feed as the rest of us.

Record lows? ;-)

I watched a movie today. So why is this in the politics room? Because it was an act of civil disobedience.

I solemnly swear to pirate all movies and music until such time as Hollywood etc. stop being so 100% Hitler Equivalent (tm) liberal. To pay for their work is to fund the enemy. Spending $10 on a movie ticket is objectively 100% equivalent to giving $10 to ISIS.

Anyone who disagrees with the above statement is also 100HE(tm).

So it seems that the elder statesman of globalism, one George Hitler Wanker Bush, has been hospitalized. Best known as the president who did his best to undo Reagan's winning streak for America once he was in office, Bush was a notable member of PNAC and an avid supporter of terrorist states such as Saudi Arabia, laying the groundwork for the September 11 attacks. Mr. Bush has chosen this week to become ill in order to avoid attending the inauguration of Reagan's spiritual successor, President Trump. It may also serve as an excuse for his son, well known Osama confidante George Wanker Bush, to avoid the inauguration.

As for Osama bin Laden himself ... he may actually be in attendance at the inauguration. Most likely, he is not dead; outgoing "president" Barack Hussein Obama will reveal this information on Friday and grant him a full pardon hours before leaving office.

(Yeah, I said it all ... CNN doesn't have a monopoly on reporting completely made-up wild speculation as if it were fact.)

“We need to go to a system where we are protecting workers, not jobs, and society will help people retrain or reorient,” Richard Baldwin, professor of international economics at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, said in an interview in Davos. “There may just be a need to man up. We have to pay for the social cohesion that we need to keep our societies advancing, and accept that this may be a higher tax burden on people.”

Holy mother of fuck!  These globalist hitlers are actually coming out and saying "To protect the agenda of the global elite, we must raise taxes to pay for welfare for unemployed workers."

And they wonder why everyone hates them?

Did you expect any less. Look at all the morons who have been agitating for a basic minimum income for all.... No different.

Basic Income is an interesting thought experiment, though. Begin with the assumption that globalization and automation will ultimately create a world where the supply of labor greatly outstrips the demand, and it almost seems inevitable. But then reality sets in and you realize that the cost of goods and services will simply rise to cancel out the basic income.

(This has already happened in a microcosm: one reason college costs keep rising so much is because the government keeps giving them more money.)

It's also the reason that the minimum wage doesn't really work and ultimately is inflationary.

Basic Income is negative taxes. Conservatives like low taxes. The lower the better! Why not go subzero? ;)

What it's doing is displacing workers. No doubt about that. The message "you need new skills" does not sell well, even when it's true.

Automation is putting people out of jobs, but the Trumpistas all want to blame China. Blaming China is not untrue, but misses the much larger long-term trend.

Pretty obvious that it's *both*. Automation can be cheaper than labor, but cheap labor is cheaper than non-cheap labor. Just ask Mr. Daisey how iPhones are made. They're not made by machines; they're made by chinese factory slaves working in deplorable conditions.

But take the politics out of it for a moment and contemplate.

What *do* you do when you get to a point where there is far more labor than demand for labor? What do you do when there is so much automation that there isn't a need for anyone other than Jeff Bezos to have a job? It seems like you have a choice of either society collapsing, or forcing into existence a welfare state (which then collapses).

Ok, back to politics. True objective undeniable fact: USA would have completely collapsed anyway during calendar 2017 if Hitlery was elected.

I've been watching the inauguration festivites since noon today when the plane landed in Washington. It's going to be a great two days.

Our new President looked so *presidential* at the Arlington ceremony. Can you imagine how insulting, how obscene, how 100% Hitler Equivalent (tm) it would have been, if we were forced to watch the Butcher of Benghazi pretending to respect our fallen soldiers?

At the very least Trump has already restored democracy to the United States.  For the past eight years liberals have told us that questioning Obama or protesting Obama was obstructionism.   Now if anybody is protesting Trump they are protesting in the name of the democracy.  Liberals realize that Trump has returned democracy to the United States.
