Got a Kindle for Christmas. I can't believe this thing is so popular. It's
slow. Managing books is abysmal. Why the hell can't I hide books, instead
of deleting them (losing them forever)? The only thing I can say good about
it is battery life.
I think if you delete a book, you can download it again without paying. But
I do think it's deliberately slow because they want it to have an immensely
long battery life, particularly on the models which use e-paper and have no
backlight. They basically consume zero battery except when you are flipping
pages.
It shows you every book in your collection, whether it's on your Kindle or
not. You can hide things in groups, but that's a pain. If you delete, it
deletes.
That's weird. Mine has a separation between downloaded and entire library.
I wonder if it just doesn't like you.
I can certainly see your kindle doing the following:

and no it's not a RickRoll.

All of Ragnar's electronic gadgets eventually become sentient and try to kill
him. That's one of the reasons he keeps armor-piercing bullets around.
Are you sure that it wasn't throwing itself out the window due to what it
was forced to hold and then listen to?
It's the new Apple iDefenestrator. It creates a smooth pane of glass with
perfect bevels, and then throws itself through it.

My wife asked me why I keep a gun. I said, "Transformers." She laughed, I laughed, the toaster laughed... I shot the toaster.
You have not watched that Small Warriors movie. You don't use piercing bullets
to kill sentient machines off. You use EMP !
